What toys would you recommend for greyhounds. My Sadie has 2 cuddly ducks which she throws about a bit then she holds them down and tries ripping their wings off. It makes me a bit scared, specially as we have the cat, and I don't want her tearing up the sofa etc. What an you suggest?

Have you tried her with a rope tugger, mine love throwing their's around

and even Glenn and Hannah havn't managed to distroy them.they play tug of war

with them

if mine have fluffys to kill they leave everything else alone. I get fur fabrick cut it into 12" sqares flod right sides togethere sew round the edges an leve just enghe space to trurn right side out sew the little hole and the dogs love it they can tug pull and through it theres no stuffing to go everywere and they cost pence to make so you can do loads to keep them bussy.

just cos there playing with fluffy toys dosnt mean they will go for live pray or your cat. one of my lads used to mother and love his teadys washing and carrying it about but he would have killed anything live on the other hand 2 of my girls will shread a teady and destuff it in 3 minets flat and they would never dream of chasing or hurting anything and are petrifed of my sisters cats

Mine all play with fluffy toys ( i have 4 greys at home ), they love tugging at them & throwing them around but none of mine chase my 2 cats... In fact as a couple of mine take their cuddlies to bed with them.

Mine have cuddly toys. They don't like things like tennis balls etc. Tiny has a rubber fish skeleton which is great for chewing on (I got it from Pets at Home)

She has a tug of war rope, with a tennis ball on it but she has to be in the mood for that. She is a bit violent with the teddies but hopefully she won't start on the furniture or cat. She's started gathering my shoes and taking them to her bed but not chewing them?! Maybe she likes to be able to smell me, well my shoes any how.

Heres a pic of Queenie with 1 of her fav cuddlies...

Ahhhhhh lovely. let her have the cuddlies she will be fine. i think most of them like them

Either mine are all boring or just wierd. None of the Greyhounds really play with toys even with a JRT running around with them in his mouth wanting them to play. Skippy has a tendency to hoard everything like a Magpie. She once took to her bed, a clock, a hanging basket minus the pansies, a brush, a bucket, a food bowl and a bag of sawdust. I thought id gone mad but there they were, in her bed with her sleeping soundly beside them :- "

That rings bells, my Molly isn't particularly interested in toys but collects shoes. She never chews them or damages them, just hoards them in and under her bed. If you lose a shoe then you will normally find Molly lying on it

Mickey loved his rabbit!!

I have a bucket of assorted toys, chews, kongs ect... and its funny to watch them dig their nose in to make their selection.

William has a collection of teddy bears that the whippets and setter are not allowed anywere near .His favourite is a dog called Peds which he will go and find if you ask 'Were's Peds?' and a duck which if you squeeze its belly quacks and he sets it of all the time

Hmm, mine are hoarders too, and unfortunately do chew shoes if they are not carefully stowed away. Having said that Max has been known to open the cupboard door and help himself to a matching pair of shoes - always mine, never my oh's. :- "

They have a basket of toys and Tiny has become quite adept at rumaging around to find the one he wants. (w00t)
