If I had one wish it would be to go back and swop my parents for some proper ones :(

Would you like my MIL. Honestly she is charming!! cough splutter

My tank broke about a year ago and as we were planning to move I decided to re-home my fish including 3 5inch clown fish which are quite hard to keep. What a nightmare. The guy who had them (free) got the 3rd degree poor chap. We still don't have a new tank and I miss them. I can't find the pix at the mo, will look later.

Yes, it was always my dream to go into marine fish - not sure I'd have the energy for all the water quality checks these days. I do find myself transfixed by the lionfish and the invert tanks (with octopuses  ) in our incredible local aquatics centre, the Goldfish Bowl in Cowley.

My inlaws are ghastly in a different way (still not forgiven them for the way they treated their 17yr old cat with liver failure, wouldn't take it to vet or let in house despite sub-zero temps  Eventually managed to give her a couple of happy, warm weeks before she was pts :( ) I suppose to be fair it was my sister-in-law, who refused to visit them if the cat had been in the house, that caused the problem

The marine set ups are stunning aren't they but i agree could not cope with the extra problems and hard work involved! :sweating:

I find buying fish quite addictive actually but me and Harry fall out quite often as we can never agree which ones to buy!!

OH YEAH some good news we have 3 baby Dalmatian Mollies!!!!! God knows how many were eaten in the night but have found 3 today and now have their own little "tank" so avoid being eaten by their parents!!!! So my fish quantity has now doubled overnight!! :D :D

Errrr they were fresh water clowns not salt............sorry! Still can't find pix. Marine is just a bit to complicated. We now have a house which is on the edge of the fens near King's Lynn. It had to be built on a raft cos the clay. We have chipboard not solid floors and OH is worried about the disaster if we got another leak!! Several gallons of water would be a nightmare. :- " One day thou....

You probably need separate tanks! Funny how I always got the impression that it was mainly a bloke thing :- " Never known anyone of my own gender who's kept fish, till now! (w00t) Does he like huge catfish his by any chance? ;)

I'd forgotten about mollies and platys - still remember the first little baby platys I had

BTW fantastic photos, what stunning fish have you any more photos?? What size is your tank?( perhaps we need a fishkeeping forum soon!!!!!)
Gina I have 3 tanks ... but am finding it hard keeping up with them since Oscar came and K9

My biggest one is a 45 gallon tank which I was given (lady whose hubby had died) she knew I had fish... came complete with 1 Silver Dollar, that large catfish and 1 very large Kissing gourami which died not long after. What a job we had moving it into out house - fish in drums overnight etc etc. Anyway my other two are smaller 1 -3ft x 15x12 with gourami , tetras and black widows, and a smaller one with cold water fish. Ive kept them since my teens but they are hard work and I dont think people realise this till theyve took them on.

They dont look after themselves like some people would tend to belive. :(

Anyway my large tank still is empty at the moment - I must get round to restocking it  sometime
