Hair Thinning On Female Whippet

Has any of the whippets mentioned here today got dandruff or are they scurvy in any way??
Dippy has a baldy patch on her side and is loosing fur on her back legs and is very dandruffy/scurvy.

The baldy patch is red and inflamed and is gradually getting bigger.

She is already on wheatgerm oli, keepers mix and I've tried evening primrose oil and none of it has done a thing for it.

She having some tests done at the vets on Thurdays cos its getting worse.

Yes had the dandruff, brush her daily, normally then backwards :lol: watch the bloody dandruff come out then, cod liver oil capsules every other day, central heating does there coats no good either, get em outside.

Red and inflamed, i would have her to the vets, get skin scrapings done

Hi all, I have Cashie, Molly's brother. He's affected in exactly the same way. He's completely bald on his tummy, most of his hind legs and behind his ears. That article was very helpful and I'm fairly sure it's atrophic follicular dysplasia rather than colour dilution alopecia. His skin is fine and the hair loss doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest. It doesn't seem like there's much I can do about it. I considered taking him to the dermatology specialist at the Royal College but I don't think it's worth putting him through scrapes, biopsies, etc. when the eventual diagnosis will probably be "he's just a bit bald!"

Hi Mary-Caroline :thumbsup: haven't seen you on here for a while, hope and Cashie are well.

I met up with Andy and Anna last summer with Violet and Tipsy, it was lovely (except the weather!). Molly had great fun running with her mummy and sister, Tipsy is so tiny :wub: I did notice though that neither were bald on there bums or tummies as far as I could see :blink:
