It is Rue's first birthday today. I hope everyone will have as good as day as she is planning. I will be taking her ladyship to Healesville so she might lunch with her best friend, Sophie, a JRT. She loves Sophie's Mum so much that she even smiles at her! (Am hideously jealous about that one)

Hard to believe this little person has been with me for almost a year. I think back on the strange, hairless, big footed, tiny creature who arrived at the airport in September and find if difficult to connect that time with now.

I still find myself just watching her and looking at those hands with long fingers (sorry her paws with long toes and long nails) but they do look more like hands than feet! Am still completely fascinated and enthralled by this no longer quite so tiny, being.

Have never felt about another canine person as I do about this one. Maybe because there was never such a bond or...I don't know why. Am almost hypnotised by her. I am so glad the breeder popped piccies of the litter on a horse forum, just to show off the new babes. Had she not, I would still be in the wilderness.

She now weighs a massive 7kg, unless the Vet's scales are wrong. Julie, contented servant of the Italian Princess.

 Happy Birthday Roo  :clown:

Igs do have a funny effect on people don't they!!!! Zoomie will be 2 next month and I'm planning his party already.... :teehee:

Happy Birthday Roo, lots of love from blue and sophie xx :huggles:

Thank you all. Yup, very strange (and addictive) effect. I reckon she is more child-like and dog-like. She is sleeping on my lap as I type, snoring.

Do yours 'talk' in their sleep. Rooey dreams ALOT and often whimpers, barks, growls, groans and makes some other noises that I do not even know how to describe. To say nothing of the legs and everything else moving. Would love to know what's going on. Julie and the sleeping Princess. :D

happy birthday roo

Happy Birthday to the Pretty Princess Roo :*

The whippets all dream like that so I can't see why an Iggy wouldn't. I reckon they are chasing rabbits.
