o:) My boy Kai, has gone humping mad these last few days.

My bitch isnt due in season again untill late august, the problem is she stands their and lets him do it.

THE NEXT PART IS IN DETAIL SORRY.

Today i was in the kitchen dogs were in the living room.Went back in to see what they were diong, WELL he had been trying to mate her his penis was right out even the ball bits at the end of the penis  Put him into the garden on his own to calm down, thank god it went back in on its own.

Phew that wasnt nice, then looked over my bitch all up her back was seimen.

Why has he started to do this?

What can i do to stop him, if anything

Sorry about the detail but i had to explain properly.

P S. DONT LAUGH. This part is all new to me :D

Sorry tina no advice, but asking us not to laugh well, as if we would :- " 8)

Whats' wrong with behaving like that anyway? (w00t) (w00t)

:- " Its an age thing Tina............ we often have this problem traveling to shows lately between a certain brother and sister :b

I'd also start keeping an eye on your bitch. Just because she's not due till August doesn't mean she will come in then. She just might be coming in early.

After her first season at 18 months to the day, Savannah's last 3 seasons have been 9 months like clockwork. She was due this time end of April/beginning of May and I totally expected her in. As I said - she's been like clockwork. But this time she's decided NOT to come in. In your case, she might be coming in early.

 He was a year old on monday, he must think hes some super stud then :- "

Dont realy mind if you laugh, if you could see his face when hes at it he looks so pleased with himself. Little sod. (w00t)

Oh dear Tina, what a pain  Can I have just a tiny, weeny chuckle. You did tell me that keeping a dog with the girls was "no trouble" (w00t) . Hopefully, it is just because he is a young dog and he'll grow out of it.

:p Must have been the heat Juley, hes been in the sun to long

Hes given up now hes in his cage with the door open fast asleep.

All that humping has worn him out

HONEST YOU SHOULD HAVE A MALE. keeps you on your toes. :teehee:

Ours went through a phase of having lots of wet dreams when he was between 3 and 4 (first one right on my bed :x ). We don't have a bitch, and although sometimes we could connect it with meeting one, it seemed to happen every few weeks regardless. Fortunately he's grown out of it now, although I was on pins every time I visited my parents ( who have a phobia of anything wet and dog-related and still seem blissfully unaware of the facts of life  :b ) He's been trying to mount Olivia's - OEH - Tess recently even though she's definitely nowhere near being on heat, but then she's been a terrible little flirt with him

On the subject of dogs and bitches together, I'd like a bitch next time round, but I'm worried about having an un neutered dog and bitch together (ours is nearly 6 now, and not the most over sexed dog). How do people manage keeping both sexes together without frustration for the dog or mis-matings? I've heard bad things about injections and I'm not a fan of neutering if there isn't a related health problem. This is the main reason I haven't got a second whippet yet, I keep pondering the dog/bitch dilemma.

Hi , Moriarte, Ive not had this experience before with the penis right out, and all that.

Normally thing run smoothly with dogs and bitches.

Even when my bitch is in season, she is put up stairs in a cage a very large one.

The boys are kept down stairs, when i bring the bitch down to spend pennies the boys get shut in the kitchen.

There can be a bit of crying and wingeing from the boys but nothing that bad.

Hope what ive been doing is right, it seems to work ok.

Would be interesting to see how other k9ers keep their dogs and bitches when one is in season.

As for the wet dreams ive not experienced that one :teehee:

surpose thats next then. :- "

Ours usually does it at 3am and then complains bitterly about his bed being wet :(

On a dog breeding list I'm on one of the general rules that most people seem to go by is 'TWO solid doors between the dog and the in-season bitch'. Not gates, and not just one door (a single door can be left open by accident) or behind a door and in a crate. It makes sense to me.

I just don't have 2 doors behind each other, so I won't be having a male (I wasn't anyway, but that's as good a reason as any LOL

  Very explicit details.

Sorry I have two boys but they still hump too. themselves and the cats.

<Sigh>. Woody had a wet dream whilst on Alan's parent sofa right in front of his mum and dad. Alan's parent's have never had a dog so it's a big deal for them to let a dog on the sofa albeit with a fleecy rug under the dog.

Alan's mum left the room. Alan told me to do something about it. I ask you. :b

Ranks alongside when we had a picnic there and one of my dogs found a dried up cat turd and retrieved it to eat in front of everyone. People asked what was in the dogs mouth. <sigh> Such is my life reduced to these days. :b

That is so funny Beejay

Yes my hubby had another Rep in the house the other day and Kobi piddled on the kitchen floor (w00t)

and also when the Policeman came to investigate our car tryres being slashed recently - Kobi sat and pooed right next to him (w00t) Luckily he said he had a puppy too ......   the joys of pets eh????

Oh my, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has humping mad whippets or dogs.

Tascha and Mysti seem at the point of performing in the middle of the livingroom carpet for as long as possible, meanwhile, I'm trying to ignore it, just let them get on with things, as I don't want to interfere if it's a dominance thing, I know they need to sort it themselves, but the snorting and near hysterical laughter off my two oldest kids makes me intervene when they're not in school. My youngest daughter just thinks they're playing a nice game of piggy back :- "

Do they eventually settle down, and leave this humping each other? Keith and Sarah, my two oldest kids, think it's highly hilarious that Tascha has given up on humping Mr Manson, our male neutered cat, and gone on to Mysti, they're now calling them the lesbian dogs
