Hello everyone , I am on holiday and I just took the chance of logging on for a few minutes to say Hello . Don't know what's been going on here but the folk on the FAO thread are a great bunch of folk . They made me feel very welcome and I enjoyed their chit chat . When my dogs died thy were lovely to me and so very kind . I am sorry that the thread which was open to anyone has been closed .

I am on holiday in New Zealand visiting my son . I am having a great time but missing my girls terribly . They are staying with a lovely friend of mine who does dog sitting and dog walking . They are having lovely walks , lying around on her settee and sleeping in her bed at night . I am getting regular texts about them .

Will be home again in about 10 days . Hope you and all your dogs are well . " See you soon " xxx

Hi there Jane and anyone else reading this . I know you will be looking after k9 but I think the usual naughties are going on ! :lol:

Thought I would tell you about my trip , I flew Glasgow to Dubai , then Dubai to Sydney . We had a few days in Sydney and recovered from our journey ! Sydney was great and we went swimming at Bondi beach .We did lots of other things too including the Sydney harbour bridge walk . We flew to Aukland and then had a small flight to Palmerston north where our son lives . He was working the first week we went on a little trip . We drove to Roturua and had a few adventures there before moving on to Taupo . Taupo was absolutely beautiful and we could have stayed there for longer . It was Eddie's birthday there and we went white water rafting to celebrate !

We then went back to Palmerston north and after a couple of days we went to Wellington . This is a very beautiful city and the drive there was through beautiful countryside with fields of sheep and cattle everywhere .

In Wellington we ate far to much drank far too much and shopped till Eddie got concerned about the packing of the cases to go home !

This is our last week now and time is flying in . We are off to Martinburgh this weekend which is a famous wine growing region . I may have to go wine tasting and drink lots of wine !

This has been a mammoth journey for me and I hate flying but I am glad I have come . If you can't have your children with you the next best thing is that they live in a beautiful place and are happy .

My oldest friend (from my school days) is emigrating to New Zealand next year with her family. I'm gutted, but I'm so pleased too, as I'm hoping I'll get out to see them once they've settled.
