Do tell Willow we have a good supply of treats - tripe sticks, pigs ears, various morsel treats and some jerky! We also have frozen minced chicken and lamb with rice and vegetables.

I'm sure he will enjoy the female company and we will give him his own place in each house so he always has somewhere to call his own.

Give him a big hug from both of us and kisses from his new sisters. :huggles:

Willow says he is looking forward to some nice whippety company, especially lady friends!

He is sick of the pesky littlies that he has to put up with here. He keeps tripping up on them and then they get grumpy and annoyed with him which upsets him.

He has had a bit of a break through today and has eaten tripe dog food for the first time. Usually he turns his nose up at it. He is becoming very adventurous in what he will try! 8)

Janet

I did initially see this, but some how missed the outcome.

Im so pleased Willow has found his special home with you and Bea...he will ever want again. :huggles: :huggles: You are both stars...

wonderful, happy ending.so glad you got him :D

Thankyou - in just over 2 weeks time Willow will be off to his forever settee with Bea and her family and friends!! :D

We will miss him very much, as we have got used to the old fella tottering about, but given the general level of mayhem here we think it is definitely in Willow's best long term interests and we just know he will be very happy in his new home once he has settled in.

He is a lucky boy, but he deserves all the luck that comes his way now.

Dear Willow is at last in his forever home, with my friend,Bea, next door. He took to his new sister, Lily, immediately and then took to Bea's bed at bedtime (with Lily) as if he had be doing it all his life :huggles: He also loves to be with Polly and twiggy. Polly 'escorts' him when needed!!!

Will start a new thread with pictures tomorrow, but thought some of you might want to know he is a wonderful dog and seems happy to be in his new home.

Thanks to Alison and her rescue group who do a wonderful work with dogs like Willow who others would just have PTS (because he is old and blind).

 What good news!! Sounds like a brillant home for him :luck: :luck:

:'( Aw, Ive got a big lump in my throat after reading this thread. :luck: He is a very lucky chap and Im sure he will be very happy in his new home.

Having worked in rescue kennels - I know its such a thrill when you see the oldies

going off to their new homes. :huggles:

What great news, can't wait to see the pics of him in his lovely new home! :huggles:

It is so fabulous how Willow has settled in with Bea and his new girlfriend Lily. I am absolutely thrilled.

He also recognises Janet already (mmm, chicken wings lady :D !!) and wags his tail at her, which just shows how relaxed and happy he is - he was weeks here before he ever wagged his tail.

He has already found his favoured chairs/settees in both Bea and Janet's houses and I am told he is a true whippie, as he happily steals everyone elses food without any qualms.

I think Willow has found his heaven on earth and is probably one of the luckiest whippets on the planet.

We do miss him of course, but his happiness means everything to us, and I truly believe he is already happier in his new home than he ever was here. Thankyou so much Bea, Janet, Lily, Twiggy and Polly for making space for our little old fella in your lovely happy family. You are all angels....and thankyou for keeping me up to date with his progress. I am very grateful.

That's fantastic news, I'm over the moon for Willow and his new family  :D

Be happy, Willow! :huggles:
