Jonah's just eaten quite a lot of Benecol spread. I think that too much fat is not good for dogs so should I do anything about it? Thanks. Thought I'd ask here before bothering the vets.

I decided to ring the vets just to put my mind at rest and they seem to think he'll be OK but may well be sick and have diarrhea. :x I just need to keep an eye on him. Maybe this will teach him not to thieve - ha, little chance of that happening! :- "

Just had to go downstairs as he's been a little bit sick, but seems fine again now and is playing with his toys.

(w00t) (w00t) naughty Jonah i doubt he will learn lol. I remember about 26 years ago (eeeeeek) showing my age now, I had a whippet that used to get up onto the worktops as soon as my back was turned,One day i went out and forgot to put the chip pan away yes you guessed she ate the full pan of fat .....heehee its a whippet thing :- "

Hi Dawn, I could just imagine Jonah doing that. (w00t) We've never had such a thief before although he doesn't get up on the work tops. He just uses his paws to pull things closer to him or picks cutlery up delicately in his mouth and lowers it gently to the floor and then proceeds to lick it clean. I think he's very clever but we have to be so careful and we slipped up by leaving the Benecol out. He's asleep at the moment but hopefully is OK but he did make me feel really shakey for a while. :sweating:

Naughty little Jonah again... :- "

Im sure he will be fine Gillian.... :huggles: :luck: :luck:

He's just been really sick Janis so hopefully he's brought most of it up but he's not happy at the moment although he doesn't seem to be really ill but I can't relax yet. :sweating:

Poor Jonah... :x at least he'll have brought the worst of it up now. They're their own worst enemies sometimes aren't they, I caught my two devouring blue wax crayons the other night... haven't found any blue poo yet  .

Poor Jonah, I bet his tummy is feeling a bit :x all that grease :x

Years ago the 2 dogs we had then managed to open the fridge & ate pretty much all the contents including a full tub of margarine. They had also got into the dog food store & devoured about a weeks worth of food between them :x

Their stomachs were as tight as drums & very very bloated. I don't remember them being sick but do know we didn't feed them for days afterwards & had to take them for lots of lead walks around the streets until they subsided

We put child locks on the fridge & cupboards after that.

I hope Jonah is feeling better now he has got rid of some of it.

ive got a greedy one too ....finley boy does he go to lengths to get anything he can.

He is feeling very sorry for himself Clair but he took a tiny bit of dog biscuit off me just now so maybe his tummy's feeling a little bit better. He can be such a pest but when they're like this you just want to see them running around and creating havoc again.

Well? How is your little scoundrel this morning? Hope he's learnt his lesson - yea right!

:huggles:

Poor Jonah, can't stop himself stealing things  hope he's better now. Lenny tries to steal things too, egged on by Molly of course, she is the ringleader!

Jonah seems OK this morning. He wasn't sick after 9pm last night but was a bit subdued - hardly surprising. I gave him a small amount of his food this morning which he ate quite happily and he's wandering around looking for more mischief to get into! :- " He did have me worried though! :sweating: Muffin was very quiet too - I think he must have been wondering what was wrong with his little brother. :huggles:

Aww glad hes a bit better, :) they do worry us at times dont they just..
