Thanks for the lovely replies and I really didnt take offence to the thin reply :) . Even though I know this breed is slight as a trait but her back end is just bones really bless her. She does need building up a little bit.
Of course you didn't take offence there was nothing to take offence about :)

You posted your little girl was a bit thin and sombody agreed and offered a bit

of advice on how to build her up a little. Which is what this forum is very handy

for, if you don't know somebody else will. I have learned a lot from here.

She's a beautiful little girl and it will be nice to see her grow up on here. I have

a pup who's 10 weeks on Sunday and she's a holy terror

What a beautiful girl you have there

I can't add much to the advice already given, although personally if I were going to feed milk on cereals as one poster suggests I'd make sure I used puppy milk, or if that is not available only small quantities of goats milk as many dogs are lactose intolerance (they lack the enzyme beta lactamase) and so milk, particularly cows milk, can upset their digestions. Nature Diet puppy is also an excellent puppy food if you are trying to put weight on a skinny baby.

Looking forward to lots more pictures :)

 what a face  she is stunning, well done for giving her a home with you, as you say she is a little under weight, but with you care and attention you will have her porky in no time  imo all puppies whatever breed should be tubby (w00t)

im sure she will thrive with you, cant wait to watch her grow :luck: :luck:

Thanks every body.

The woman I got her off told me she was fed a mix of "any" wet dog food, cat biscuits and hole fat cow milk. :( <_<

So its no wonder she just bones, bless her.

And on the hard treats thing. I found some Puppy Tripe thingeys that are very soft compaired to the sticks. You can squidge them inbetween ur fingers.

I have afew pic and a video Im gona add later. Do u just add the video in the same way as photo?. I'll give it a go anyways, LoL

I use photobucket to upload all my pics and vids :) I've failed miserably trying to do it any other way

I took on two lurcher pups when they were 8 weeks old. They are now nearly 15 weeks.

One of them was given to me by the breeder as he wasn't eating and was in a very poor way indeed. I fed them every hour (through the night as well) for the first week or so, until they gained strength. As their gut had been damaged by worm infestation they could only eat cooked chicken with a small amount of boiled rice, sprinkled with a small amount of bone meal and only water to drink. Any other food was too fatty and went straight through them as their gut had no protective lining. Even goat's milk was too rich for them :(

It took 2 or 3 weeks to get their tums sorted out but by the time they were 11/12 weeks old they were on a natural raw diet, as are all my other dogs, and have done extremely well since :)

Here are a couple of pictures which are self explanatory .................

You have a beautiful pup and she will flourish now she is away from her breeder!! Fancy feeding her on cat biscuits and whole fat cow's milk (w00t) - the mind boggles!!! (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

It does amaze me what some of the maybe less well informed, less experienced breeders think constitutes a suitable diet for a puppy. There are lots of very good puppy foods on the market and obviously which you buy will depend to some degree on what you can afford. K9 members will inevitably recommend a variety of foods so you need to think hard about what best suits you. A raw or BARF diet is a good choice if you have the freezer space but if you don't it can be time consuming and not as cost effective. Nature Diet is the wet food I would recommend and I know a number of breeders here raise pups on it. Or if you want a kibble many will recommend Burns, Arden Grange, CSJ, or Trophy, although personally I don't think you can go wrong with Skinners puppy, which as it is a working dog food is VAT free. The most important thing is to feed a good variety of foods without making constant changes. Over the course of a week my pups are fed Nature Diet puppy, Skinners puppy, tinned sardines (for a pup the ones in unsalted water are best), natural goats yoghurt, the occasional scrambled egg, and some raw green tripe.

Good luck :luck:

Sorry, meant to say it's the Skinner's Field and Trial that is VAT free

Jane the difference in your pups is amazing they look so much better and so full of life, they are definately a lucky pair to have you as an owner, bet they give you the run around now, :D

Archey is playing very nicely with Lotti - so gentle! I love the way she was lifting her paw to tap his face
