I sometimes give Milly and Poppy hide chews, are they good for the girls when they eat them ?

claire my lot dont have pigs ears anymore either as for some reason gives them the runs especaily my little ollie ,soo i dont feed em now ,but they love the trip stick and eat them like there going outa fashion ,they also love the big hide chew bones to and have them regular so will be interesting to see what everyone else sayI'd be interested in hearing other views on this
I have never fed any chews very regularly, but Blue has occasional pigs ears, and raw hide in various guises...but have recently noticed that when she has a pigs ear or similar chew which tends to get consumed she seems to get tummy pain sometime afterwards....she had a piece last night and this morning has had times of crying and looking at her tummy this morning...think I will lay off them now altogether...she does have some puffed up dried beef which she likes and is softer and offers her no problems.
the tripe sticks smell like roses compared to the actual dried tripe when they have that the whole kitchen stinks and their faces and paws stink for hours afterwards :x I get mine from Morrisons own brand, the packet costs about £1.20.But the tripe sticks STINK!!! :x ...but yes she has had these with no problems either...

I give my whippets cow hooves to chew - have been doing so for 20 plus years and have never had a problem with them swallowing the hard tip or anything like that. It definitely does help with tartar build-up, but the best for removing tartar is still a big marrow bone once a week - if you have more than one dog, best to give it to them under supervision and also remove it when it gets small enough to swallowI sometimes give Milly and Poppy hide chews, are they good for the girls when they eat them ?
