Finally, after much much searching and deliberating, (and a teeny bit of gently persuasion to my husband) we have paid our deposit on a beautiful puppy bitch. I am so excited.
All our dogs throughout my life have been rescues, or unwanteds, so parting with big bucks for a dog was completely alien to my husband, but we know she will be (and already is) worth it.
She is well bred, TURNSTONE TENNERFLY and the FATHER of the pups is TONMAWR MIDNIGHT LACE at TURNSTONE.
Her Reg name excapes me but her pet name is Ziggy stardust, she was the last pup to arrive, everyone thought mum had finished (and so did she) until out popped a healthy Zig.
Think it is quite funny that EVERY single sighthound owner that I speak to says knowingly 'Ah well now youve got one, there'll be more....' lol
Anyway, piccies to follow, in my excitement of meeting her and mum and the other pups I forgot to take any. Here is a post of their arrival though :

We're not bringing her home for a couple of weeks as the breeder has kindly agreed to keep her whilst we finish moving to our new property. Now to start shopping for all her new things.....and educating dearest husband that his days of having space on the sofa are numbered...!
The breeder has been lovely and is giving me all the info I need, and getting her first jabs done today for us, so my research online continues so we are as prepared as we can possibly be! This forum is great, and giving me so much information. We are not new to puppies, so all the basics are installed in my head, but learning whippet specific things are underway. So much to think about, from ringcraft to duvet thickness, ........ !
Look forward to talking to and maybe meeting many of you from K9 C, its already been a great help.
