How very sad....thoughts go with her family.. :(

How awful. It doesn't say how she died so it could be natural causes I suppose.

so sad :( ,my thoughts are with the family :(

I saw this in the paper too and thought the same as maryfay.

Thoughts to friends and family.

That's really sad :( Just a young girl, hardly started her life :(

Oh dear! Prayers for the young landy and her family.

Must say many times I see pics of lovely landscapes of where people walk their dogs and really enjoy them. However many times I wonder if people actually think about their own safety. Its fab walking your dogs in beautiful places but we must be careful.Whippets are not the best guard dogs by any measure (mine would play with a stranger which is fine when u can travel 0-35 in matter of mins!) Please please PLEASE! be careful!

Working for police I hear some awful stories which actually makes me paranoid. A cetain amount of paranoia is a good thing.

Cant bear to her peeps say"I never thought this could happen to me or in my area etc".The truth is IT CAN!

Most people are lovely law abiding citizens but there are a some horrible ones who move around alot!

This is really so sad to hear :(

9 years ago in October a woman was murdered in Cornwall. She had just visited a garage and was walking her dog back home when she disappeared, and they later found her body.

I believe the case is still unsolved.

My thoughts are with this young girl's family and friends at this devastating time.

I remembered this,so sad :( :(

How awful, i am very wary about where i walk on my own with Gyp's...............i always carry a alarm with me (although if you are in the middle of a field/wood it might not do ya much good)

RIP :(

That is the place I am from and where most of my extended family still live; my uncle lived in Tycroes very near that spot. I'm a bit out of touch and didn't know the lady, but she's a similar age to some of my cousins' children, so they probably know her as it's still a very close community. I have walked on those mountains many times, never completely alone, but I was once stalked by a menacing youth with a shotgun when I ended up way ahead of my parents. That's very sad :(
