As whippets are Band E you need a 1st, 2nd or 3rd in open or limit class at a championship show

sorry guys dont know what happened there posted same thing twice and cant delete one gone a bit mad i think :teehee:

Depending which breed you have, there is a Stud Book Band (I think it is currently A,B,C,D & E). Wins in certain classes give you a stud book number. In whippets (and Afghans too I believe), because they are numerically very strong, they are in the highest band so you can get a SBNo with 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Limit or Open. In the numerically low breeds, it's just 1st in open. The bands inbetween give the different wins that count. the Kennel Gazette often published which breed is in which band, although I expect you could find it on the KC website somewhere.

Hope this is understandable
