Anybody know where i can get a wire muzzle.

I ordered one 12 days ago only to be told today

they are out of stock

I'd like the plain wire rather than the plastic

coated if possible :)

You can get the wire racing muzzles suitable for whippets from a couple of online stores.....www.fasttrackgreyhounds.com www.jansgifts.co.uk & www.greyhoundmegastore.com though I think that last one are out of stock of them too!! :b But try the other two...hope you get sorted

Just ordered one from jansgifts (been waiting ages till they got them in ) but they are plastic coated, ive always bought from there cause they are good quality and the delivery is very fast

I found one that did the wire with no plastic coating,

this one :)

HERE

I prefer plastic coated having had one of my dogs get a cut nose in a wire muzzle. Can you tell me why people prefer wire muzzles to plastic coated? Just curious

I'm guessing cos of the reason you've already stated, they look as if they could cut the nose...and they obviously do...but never have needed to use a muzzle.

I was asking why AnnSa and Jinnyfizz prefer wire to plastic coated!! I know people also use plastic one, but they some times break.

I wanted wire for the simple reason, i am borrowing a plastic coated one

and the plastic coating is all coming off and it looks really tatty.

I think Jane got plastic coated.....didn't she ? I couldn't see any

just wire on that site.

The plastic ones give K a sore nose, the wire one has allowed her nose to

heal up lovely and i dont think she looks as closed in while wearing the wire.

She has lost 2 plastic ones as well. I think they are more solid and give her

more to get hold of and work her way out.

I thought i recognised that picture Jane

Jinny is modelling alot of the whippet coats on that site too

Look carefully and you will see her :D She received a free coat for each modelling assignment she did!!

Yes, I do have the plastic coated muzzles as I prefer them to just wire. I agree that they don't look too good when the plastic breaks away but

as and when the coating wears off, I'll replace them. So far the one I have used for Poacher all season is still in perfect order :D

I get mine from Sue and Terry Ward, Vensuter, I have had one in use now into it's third year on Pye, before that Pecker used it for three years, the plastic is still intact. I had to pad the wire one that I got for Emily as she cut her nose!
