Hi
I found this forum topic via Google when I was looking up info on 'Irvonhill Whippets'
Anyway, regarding Wishingstar Crystal Rose, she was indeed in a 'pet' home and had a litter of pups in 1996 after being mated to a brindle dog called Hayward Rocket. There were seven in the litter.
We were liiking for a companion for our whippet dog, so we bought one of the pups (kennel name Clouded Guinevere for Teclo, Polly at home). I did exhibit her at dog shows for a while.
Here is a recent pic of Polly
Her mother, Wishingstar Crystal Rose, was virtually identical in markings/colour.
In 1998 we mated Polly to Ch. Summerway Nu Venture at Westmount (a blue brindle). The seven pups we had were a variety of colours: one was blue, one full black brindle, two black brindle with some white (feet/chest), three particolours (one bluey, one pale fawn, one black brindle).
The reason why I was searching for info about Irvonhill whippets is because I wondered if they actually hailed from a road of the same name in Wickford!?
