 Jesse just ADORES his ball on a rope - ever since he was a pup. Of course, you have to train them to actually 'play' fetch, he used to just run off with it and not bring it back (w00t)

But he still adores playing fetch every lunchtime walk, and he's 9 1/2!!

xXx

Smirnoff plays ball, and she even uses her Paws like a football player !!!

Thanks everyone for your help and the wonderful pictures will post some of my own when pup arrives some time in the future but we have a 15year old standard poodle at the moment and don't think it fair to bring a pup in yet but looking to the future

i need help can anyone out there tell me will whippets play ball. i would like whippets as my next dogs but my grandson desperately wants a dog that will play ball with him and as he spends a lot of time with us after school and during school holidays i want to fulfil this if i can thanks    Sue
Play ball frisbee. lick you to death unconditional love, loves kids, cant beat a whippet, even plays on swings wi kids

I agree Keith - no better dog for a child than a whippet. Of course gorgeous Jill here has puppies plannned - maybe they will arrive at the right time for you Sue :- "

Is there anything you don't do with Jill Keith? She seems to have a very full and varied life with you - she's a lucky girl

My dog chases balls he also plays piggy in the middle with the kids and play football with my husband (tackles and marks him) but has yet to learn to shoot a goal! :D

well she lets me do this, teeth cleaning  wont show the gland emptying jobby :p

My whippets LOVE chasing balls - but especially frisbies (w00t) i can throw them further!!

Iv just newly learned my 8 month old puppy fetch and she learned very fast - just throwing the frisby a small bit to start and if she picks it up - plenty of praise! She learned it in one training session!! They are very bright. Id reccomend a whippet for fetch!
