I agree with Vicky, I think there is always room for improvement, and its good that people are making suggestions to make things better for the whippet world, obviously not all of these suggestions workable, but without trying some of them you wont find out.

I think as long as the improvements are for 'the greater good', then they have got to be a good idea, Hopefully people will come up with some suggestions that will make life easier for the committee's, speed up the racing day, make things more enjoyable for all concerned including the people willing to help, and hopefully encourage other people to try helping, making the world of racing better for all.

Or is that wishful thinking lol

And at what time of the morning would the com get to see to there own dogs never mind  even have a cuppa Great theory be nice to see if it worked any volunteers , suppose the open draw would be no good as members would be out side getting there dogs ready

I would just like to add that the NNWRF has a brilliant committee we all pull our weight and if a job needs doing theres always one of us there to do it even the odd moan :- " ...Also over the past few years we have had some great support of john and jerry with the photo finish camera and Colin , Joe and Jeff on the traps and hazel as half way judge along with Jeff who worked on com for a couple of years

I did how ever notice at the Tyrone bends the lack of bwra working com the top table were left doing everything

Sorry to disagree Dee but there were other people helping out at the Tyrone who were not on the top table, myself for one.

chris

Sorry chris i didnt see you ... but then again i didnt come till late and was out side watching mainly all day

Did not know you were even on the working committee Chris

Will always help out when needed Dee. Same goes for Fed if you are short handed.

Thanks Chris ... i wasn't on about members helping i was on about the working committee ..

I have to admit the lap top hooked up to the laser printer is spot on , last year we were handing 2 programs out as the meeting progressed saved members asking when they raced next etc, nice and easy to follow.

Also my hand writing is s**t lol

Still think as David says it should be a proposal this year and voted on by all members ... still some great ideas come from k9 debates ...

I can just see Carole this summer ... deckchair the one with attached table , lap top on it, a glass of vodka n coke with a straw, shorts , flip flops , sunglasses and a big floppy hat typing away after each race

spot on,dont try do mend something that isnt broken.how many of the people are organizers are commenting???????????all the opens are run very well,

Always room for improvement i'd say in any organisation / company, probably why i'm so unpopular with our foreman as he's still trying to work in the good old days when we were a small outfit and there were no such things as computers.

Are you sure it's not just that he's a man Vicky :- " .

We all know what most men are like for change, unless you catch them just right, then they'll do anything (w00t) .

:p :p :p :p :D
