Riley has a passion for fruit and veg. He'll eat banana, apple, melon, pear, peach, apricot, blueberries, cucumber, carrot, (mash)potatoe, (mash)swede, aubergine, strawberries and rasberries (better off the bush). I'm sure he'd eat more.... Here his is licking the banana skin I wont let him have

I've just come back from one of my walks and Milly, Pheonix, Morgan and Zoomie were all eating raspberries off the bush :D . This was Zoomie's first time at picking them himself so I had to show him how to nip them off with his front teeth... after tasting a couple he soon got the hang of it  :p

As well as all the above mine eat mushrooms, broccoli and tangerine!!! They all LOVE peas in their pods too  :p

My old dog Chip used to love picking blackberries himself :) but strangely enough he wouldnt eat bananas.

My two eat some fruit, but adore most veggies raw - brocolli, cabbage, carrots, turnips etc and will steal them when Im feeding the bunnies outside.

Bless...he's enjoying that.

Mine hate fruit which is a shame...and veg too.

The only bit of veg I've seen Stan eat with relish is lightly steamed asparagus. It dropped off my plate...he sniffed it, and then ate it in one go. He usually ignores all veg scraps. Expensive tastes (w00t)

Bobby eats blackberries from the bush, and Dolly is learning too. They also eat bananas, apple cores, oranges, carrots - well most fruit and veg really. Bobby eats crab apples, and even grabs them when they have fallen in the canal.

I recently bought a small apple tree and it had one tiny apple. We were looking forward to harvesting it  but Bobby took it off the tree and ate it. :(

Ours loves all fruit, and will pick not only blackberries but strawberries and gooseberries off the (very thorny) bush. All sorts of veg too, even cooked chillies from OHs curries.

If you begin to peel a banana while he is upstairs, he will be down for his share before you begin to peel the second segment. That's what I call a sensitive nose.

The foxes take mine. From their droppings (which they leave copiously around my garden :x ) I'd say their diet is almost entirely fruit between July and October; first blackberries, then plums and finally windfall apples. I'm guessing they'd prefer some poultry for their main course though :- "

I'd forgotton Pheonix - one year at my parents he lay down under their gooseberry bush and ate every single one. The thorns didn't seem to bother him and he wasn't sick either!

Oh I love blackberries, we call them 'brambles' up here, but I haven't seen them for years... all my parents old picking haunts have disappeared - dont' know what killed them off

Mine threw up his gooseberries - on the bed. I think they were a tad unripe.

Blackberries have been awful the last couple of years - too dry, even in Wales. The rain has come just at the right time this year - they are wonderful here at the moment. Picked over 6 lbs today which went for creme de mûre, the rest into the first batch of wine. Summer pudding with them tomorrow. :))

Pimms loves veggies too......! I add peas into her dog food for a bit of variety. She also loves broccoli, carrots and spuds. :huggles: Not so keen on swede or beans though.

Banana are a special fave also!

Digit absolutely adores garlic! i have to keep it in the fridge now as he is too adept at sneaking whole bulbs off the veg rack and sloping off somewhere to munch em, skins and all

the only thing i've ever seen him refuse is mushroom - he gave one a tentative nibble once, pulled a classic disgusted face then spat it out again. Was good enough to give it a second go (in case it had changed in the intervening seconds presumambly) but nope, still mushtroomy - and had to go!

Muffin doesn't like bananas, oranges, olives, raw carrot or cucmber. He will eat most other things and particularly likes crunching frozen peas! At the moment he is clearing up all the greengages that fall off our tree. Good job he can't reach the branches otherwise there wouldn't be any left. :- "

Mine all love most of what has already been mentioned. They also love Brussel sprouts. A particular fav is the trimmings off asparagus. I know that they are bad for them but if we are careless with the grapes they disappear very quickly. pears are also a favourite. My Smokey used to visibly perk up when she smelled curry....she loved it!

We had to Monty proof the cherry tree this year. He stood under the tree and stripped the cherries off the lower branches :- " I thought we had hungry birds :(

Found Monty under the tree crunching away. Most dogs know what are good for them...I hope!

I had a fright when my lot started eating the wild cherries that were lying on the ground - although they were crunching the stones I was scared they might swallow some of them whole and have a blockage. They were all fine but I keep them away from that tree now.

Zoomie LOVES cooked potato.. he's just had some left-over buttery mash for breakfast from potatos I grew in the garden

Devon loves absolutely everything! from apple to onion, he'll eat it all!

the girls like banana and grapes and all cooked veg

Sunny used to pick blackberries off the bush too, the others used to pick up the ones he knocked off for them

I'm going to miss that :(

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think grapes are poisonous to dogs as chocolate is, but I don't know how much they would need to eat to make them ill.

My brothers Bichon, who btw is diabetic (dog that is and not my brother)managed to eat a top layer of best Belgium chocolates that had been wrapped up as a gift at Christmas, amazingly and thankfully Charlie Bichon didn't seem to suffer any ill effects.

well I got Wayne a massive bar of chocolate for easter, bloody naughty Sunny was only just being diagnosed with cushings so was still at the starving stage - he pushed back the kitchen chairs and climbed on the table to nick the huge bar of chocolate - and a finest belgium chocolate rabbit - and he kindly shared it with the other 3, but only cos he couldn't fit any more in his gob!!

luck they were ok, even if i was a worried sick and couldn't sleep all night cos I kept checking them for signs of poisoning

and Sunny is now in whippet heaven, stuffing his face with as much as he likes o:)

My old dog Chip lived to 12,1/2 years and he ate the chocs from the Christmas tree almost every year :- " but I know they are toxic in large quanities.
