Keith - NEVER feel guilty about the way you feel. Life leaves us with many experiences, some good and some bad. What is important is the fact that we know we have done our best regardless of the situation. You have done a very brave thing by visiting your brother in law, facing a problem you thought a few days ago you never could again.

You have shown courage and selflessness, and above all you have shown you care. No-one could ask any more of you. You are a couragous man to visit someone who brings back so many cruel memories you have from your past, but you will get through this just like you have before.

Never be afraid to cry or to feel dispair, but never let that dispair get the better of you. Hold your head high and look at what you have now - a beautiful partner who you love very much, 2 gorgeous dogs who obviously adore you, and a great group of mates. You are a special person Keith. :huggles:

I dunno where to come in on all of your posts, so i will do it here, reason being Trish, i rememember a while back you yourself pmd me about a family member, who is no longer with us, and i hope my few words of consolation was of some help to you even if it was over a keyboard, im sorry if my post has brought back sad memories for folks, i should have perhaps thought of that afore i posted, in fact ive had several pms from some of you thats loved and lost, i will reply to you all i promisse, and for all of your lovely messages, i cannot thank you enough, i never realised i had so many friends, and i will end with this, one or 2 of you will know ive been there for you when needed, you know who you are, as for everyone else, you ever need a genuine friend, and i can help in any way, even now, my pm box is open to you, in fact at this very moment daily im in the throws of doing my best to cheer a fellow k9 member up, just a few simple words to this member, and i think im getting there, i hope so. as for me, i wont tell no lies, this has hit me hard, moreso than Ruth herself would you believe, but its the way i am, i even take it hard when i read of fellow k9ers losing there dogs to cancer, breaking there legs at racing, rainbow bridge, ok nuff said

As my dad told me once

so....enjoylife and don't feel guilty about how you feel.

Where ever we are there will always be people who appear to have better lifes and others who have worse.

We can't fix what sometimes happens to others but we can be grateful for what we have here and now.

When I take my pack for a walk and see how the trees/plants are starting to shoot....I feel so lucky to be alive and enjoying spring.

Keith, I am so sorry to read your sad news. You are a braver person than me, facing up to it and visiting was a brave thing to do, I am shameful to say that I am not as brave and have hidden away from similar situations. I hope that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and take strength from your partner and dogs. Sending :huggles:

Keith, I cannot really add anything that hasn't already been said but just to say, make sure you look after yourself & Ruth. Sometimes in all the upset & sadness people can forget about themselves. Take a bit of time out from the sadness to do stuff for yourself. Just a lovely long walk with the dogs will do you the world of good :huggles:

Keith, ive just read this. Im so sorry, i dont really know what to say. But even though ive never met you, i can tell your a grand fella and one of lifes good guys. I know its probs easy for me to say but keep your chin up, you have a lot of good true friends on here and you can take comfort from that. Also sending hugs to "your ruthy." must be difficult for her too.
