This is our first christmas with our whippies Jake and Izzy. Usually the house is highly decorated from the first weekend in december with garlands, christmas tree, holly etc.

I'm sure the dogs are going to have a ball picking things off the christmas tree and whatever else they can reach.

Might have to tape up their mouths to stop them eating something they shouldnt.

:D

They going to have a fab time!

So are you.

Our dogs makes Christmas extra special, yours will too :huggles:

Besides they are having some yummy treats to keep them busy (w00t)

Watch out for the post man :- "

Wishing you all the best this christmas, sure you will have an amazing time with your whippets. This is my first christmas with Bailey, so I am sure he will be redecorating our place for us   My boys have advents calender so hopefully they will be over joyed with their new presents each day to avoid my decorations!!!!!! Who am I kidding!

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN I WILL ALSO HAVE A 10 WEEK OLD PUPPY (w00t) I CAN SEE THE TREE LAYING ON THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR  I THINK ALOT OF US ON HERE WILL HAVE A FEW TALES TO TELL IN THE NEW YEAR

Aw have a fab time with them....the past couple of years we have had Sidney have been wonderful, he loves sniffing all the decorations as I take them out and then runs off with the tinsel.

In a few weeks he will be joined by Benjamin who I hope will love the decorations as much a Sidney.

I have got two stockings for them, which I will have so much fun filling ... Sidney loves opening presents

I know what you mean. Blue came home with us on the 5th February (it's his first birthday today!) so wasn't with us last Christmas. Knowing his fixation for all things ball-shaped I'm looking forward to fun and games trying to keep the baubles on the tree!!!

Good luck and hope you enjoy the festive season with your whippies.

its our first chrimbo with gyp's, i thought i would just hang pigs ears and tripe sticks on our tree, then it doesnt matter if she gets them :- "

My OH suggested we had a Christmas free zone in our house this year!!!

It's normally bad enough keeping the decs on the tree with the cats around and this is the first year with whippets (w00t)

Hope they don't chew the wire and fuse the lights ..... think we may stay safe and do without lights this year

This is also my first christmas with my whippet she will be 18weeks on boxing day i am sure she will love the christmas crackers as she seems to love toilet roll tubes kitchen roll tubes and thats what the christmas crackers have in them although im not so sure she will enjoy us pulling them (w00t)

I was  apprehensive about Charlies' first christmas with the tree cos he was such a little sod, he was a really bad chewer. That year I wasn't going to bother with a tree :( but a friend of mine gave me a fibre optic tree which was brilliant. :D when I went out I just took it out the pot and put it in the cupboard under the stairs. Problem was solved and it was so pretty.

Well chocolate baubles have been a definate no no since the whips came (w00t)

Chocolate anything come to that o:)

Have to agree with the chocolate, stictly no chocolate tree decorations here. Ive always had a real tree but had a fibre optic one for the last couple of years.

Archie is a terror sometimes, so wonder wether I dare chance having that 'real tree' again this year. minus choccies of course...

probably minus everything else too after a couple of days...

It was our first Christmas with Skip last year and we ended up moving the tree outside after the first day. Between Skippy trying to eat the tree and stealing the tinsel, and the cat climbing the tree, it wasn't a great success.

The glittery tinsel poop was interesting too!!!
