Hi everybody. My name is Koda and I'm about two years old.

Koda.jpg

I'm told I'm a greyhound x collie (second cross), but to be honest I'm not sure.

All I know is that I'm happy in my new home and love my owners, John & Else.

Hope I've posted in the right place, as I'm not really sure.

If not then I apologise and hope the Super Mod will move my post to the right place. :b

BTW: I live in Northern Ireland.

Hello and welcome to K9 Koda.

Hi Koda, aren't you a sweetie  ... and very clever too being able to do your own post and add a photo of yourself :D

Thanks everyone for all your friendly welcomes and kudos.

Koda is a she and we're based in Newtownards.

On the day Koda arrived home from Carryduff USPCA shelter she'd picked up that dreaded kennel cough.

We took her to the vet (Claire Ferris), and immediately after being treated she went into season.

So we'll let nature to take its course before getting her spayed.

Anyhow here's another pic of our girlie, this time with her little black eye patch showing. :p

You may well be right, Debbie. We think Koda's mum may have had more than one suitor :b :D

Hi Julie.

All we know (re: information received by USPCA staff) is she was found by two lads, in a feral state, wandering aimlessly about an area of North Belfast. She was in a somewhat emaciated condition and infested with fleas.

The staff reckoned the same two lads may have been trialing her for hunting and at some point in the trials she failed their expectations.

Having said that, we believe she may have met a much worse fate (possibly clubbed to death - so the two lads did the decent thing in the end).

She had been at the shelter for eight days when we visited and as we viewed all the dogs in the kennels Koda was the only one who did not 'attention seek'... its as if she was telling us, "if you want me, come and get me". My wife and I just fell in love with her straight away, its as simple as that.

Sorry if that seems soppy, but that's the story of Koda.

Here's another photo of our girl, especially for lurcher-lass

Nice to meet you Koda, you look like a Terrier cross more than Greyhound Collie!

But thats my opinion, I hope you enjoy your stay in K9 Community!
