Koda is lovely  do you know anything about her life before you got her?she looks a lot like my lurcher Hebe, only hairier  we think ours is a whippet/collie cross

welcome to K9

Julie :D
Hi Julie.

All we know (re: information received by USPCA staff) is she was found by two lads, in a feral state, wandering aimlessly about an area of North Belfast. She was in a somewhat emaciated condition and infested with fleas.

The staff reckoned the same two lads may have been trialing her for hunting and at some point in the trials she failed their expectations.

Having said that, we believe she may have met a much worse fate (possibly clubbed to death - so the two lads did the decent thing in the end).

She had been at the shelter for eight days when we visited and as we viewed all the dogs in the kennels Koda was the only one who did not 'attention seek'... its as if she was telling us, "if you want me, come and get me". My wife and I just fell in love with her straight away, its as simple as that.

Sorry if that seems soppy, but that's the story of Koda.

Here's another photo of our girl, especially for lurcher-lass

Thanks she is lovely, love her black ear

Hi and welcome to K9.

We have 2 rescue dogs from Carryduff, they both had kennel cough so we ended up treating all our dogs.

We live in Ards also so we might see you about.

Hope you've as much pleasure out of Koda as we get from our dogs :luck:

It sounds as tho Koda had a lucky escape then, there are some horrible people around eh?

She really is beautiful  but then i'm ever so slightly biased as she's a "Hairy Hebe "

Funnily enough, when I went to choose my pup, there were 7 pups, still with mum, when I went up to the front of the kennel...mum & 6 came to the front to say hello.....one little grey & white one decided to make the most of the empty "milk bar" & went back for another feed.

Guess which one I chose  she is still a real opportunist & will make the most of the chance of a stolen snack.

what a lovely little girl im so glad her stroy has a happy ending
