mmmm, try adding italian greyhounds to the mix!

my little 2 do the wall of death with the whippets, only thing is, they are small and light enough to 'run' up anything, including me!

the remotes are all smashed up, not cos they chew them but cos they don't like them lying around, so push them (and anything else they don't like the look of) off the table or sofa with their noses

they set a terrible example for my poor innocent whippets - they steal like poachers, run like the wind, cheek us back, and sing like a pack of wild wolves

and like your Luna, they are very, very cute o:)

staffy? yep got one of them too.... anyonr know where to get cheap covers for the sofa?
i've settled on throws :b DARN sight cheaper than those suite cover things.. looked at one, lovely...£80 just for an armchair cover on its own  about £600 for two chairs plus three seater sofa  cheaper to buy a whole NEW suite!

littlewoods catalogue has a two for one on jaquard(?) throws in different sizes. quite nice, but the blue is NOT the same as pictured  looks bright blue, but more of a deep sea bluey-green.

could try an asian bits and pieces shop, they usually have a goog selection of thick, tough throws. one i've got has lasted for 5yrs now. pretty good, what with 3 kids followed by 2 dogs :D

I've never had a whippet give me cheek when it was being scolded .... until I got the pommy boy, Cash. And what a mouthful he gives! Has to be something in those English lines! And of course the first time he did it we all thought it was funny and laughed at him - so now he thinks its a great lark. :teehee:

Never had a "wall-of-death"-er either until him. Of course I've had those who'll play silly buggers in the lounge room but Cash actually runs in a big circle around the backs of the sofas which are placed along three walls. The speed is so great that he actually hangs out horizontally - just like Elvis on the bike in that movie (Roustabout -was it?)

BUT aside from all that, there were many discussions on here of where the devil dog has taken possession of our usually meek and mild whippety wonders. You can never blame them of course - they know not what they do - they are possessed at these times.

Perhaps you didn't do enough k9 research? :- " Far be it for us to detract from the whippet's good name with stories of indiscretions that were the result of 'the devil inside!'

Of course we'll only tell you the good stuff - the naughty stuff we expected you to just "discover" in your k9 travels :teehee:

Isn't that like mothers who say that childbirth wasn't painful.

Husband has just come back from walk with pups and they are still launching themselves at me on the sofa.

And how can they always find a stray sock to run away with!!

Never experienced that, so can't comment! BUT I do confess to having a few screws loose, probably why I miss the puppy antics :teehee:

Hmmm... this week Willow has destroyed the wooden unit in our hall, a hairdryer (a million tiny bits of electrical wire all over the house - how sweet!), a watch, a DVD remote control, new boots, plus black footprints on the cream setee  (not yet paid for!); oh and all those adorable whippet feet in the eye/mouth/armpit that wake us in the morning. We LOVE her!!!!

I look at her angelic face o:) and hope that she grows out of it (w00t)

So, why did nobody warn me what I was letting myself in for? I can imagine everyone on this site sniggering behind their hand when a 'newbie' says they are getting a whippet puppy  :- "  I posted pictures of Luna when I first got her, everyone said how cute she was, no warnings of what was to come though was there!! No one told me that whippets can 'talk', or about their attitude and answering back when scolded  And how come she doesnt seem to grow for weeks and then overnight her legs are 3 inches longer? And where does all that food go? (when of course she decides that the best chicken, beef and vegetables I put in front of her is 'good enough') I am used to seeing nice fat puppies after their dinner, not Luna though, oh no, she still looks bloody skinny. I am sure she stores the food in her chest like some deformed hampster  And you can forget chocolate drops, Luna will do anything for an ice-cube (makes things difficult when out for a walk, your pocket gets rather damp!) which she delights in crunching up in the middle of the living room, leaving puddles of a different sort than usual (and thats another story!) My poor lurcher looks at me with hang-dog eyes, begging me to remove this whirlwind that I have brought into her life :( If I can get her to stand still long enough I will get some new pictures up, if you look close into her eyes you can see that she is possesed by the devil (w00t)

She is cute though

whos pup is she tancho?

whos pup is she tancho?

If you mean who bred her, she is from a lad in Lincolnshire. Coursing bred from Mike Browns stuff (Sooty Sam etc)

Not quite sure whats going through her head in this one

I reckon she's either practising her fierce face :teehee: or trying to figure out how big a bone she can get in her mouth!

I think she has been watching too much NZ rugby and is trying to copy the ritual dance by the New Zeleanders before the match! She is lovely though and reading this post makes me laugh as I am going through exactly the same with my lurcher pup of 11 weeks! He has a thing about shredding the toilet roll, racing around like a true lunatic until i am sure he is going to do himself real damage and also his latest trick is trying to open the kitchen cupbaords and raid the contents - he managed to open the cupbaord containing the dogs treats etc today and made a great mess all over the floor! I love him to bits though and wouldn't have him any other way!

Had such a laugh reading this thread - I havnt a clue where you have all gone wrong - my two are complete angels o:) o:) o:)
