My dear Joanna (Lyntails Joanna) ....Racing name Bright Opinion lost her fight today ........Many of Glos and South Cotswold members will remember her for her ability and nature of schooling pup's and fighters aswell as giving confidence to nervy racers ........ She would have been 15 this Thursday but after another mild stroke last night, it seemed to take all the energy that she had ......Only yesterday she was eating a fresh chicken wing up the garden ........ My vet came out to my house as said she had always been a very special little lady and she deserved dignity. Ken knew her so well after her rebuilt her leg after snapping all of her ligaments and after she fell at racing and lost the feeling in her back legs he taught us how to do her physio and get her walking again (which took 3 months) ........ She was pts led on my lap and she went very peacefully .... The others have been to see her and Jacobs led up on the sofa with her now cleaning her .......She never needed a lead as she was always right by my side when she was younger ..... RIP Joanna, you are the best xxxx

So sorry to hear your sad news Hannah :( RIP Joanna.

Chris and I send our love at this time Hannah.

Joanna was such a special dog- a genuine racer who schooled so many puppies and novice dogs at South Cotswolds. We still give her annual trophy in her honour. She enjoyed great quality of life right up to the end , which is what we all hope for, and Ken would made sure that her end was as dignified and peaceful.

Run free Joanna.

We're so sorry Hannah

Joanna was indeed a very special lady and she had nothing but the best from you since the day she arrived with you. Its the end of an era, but you have many memories, and I'm sure she is with Holly and the pair of them are stealing tripe sticks again. Big hugs. (To Beej and Chris too, who will also be devastated)

Thanks all .... She was a lady big time ...... one of the soundest dogs ever .... When I have TIME I will note ALL the dogs she helped but they can't be bothered to mention her !!!!!!!!!! ......She ment nothing to most people but hey she ment the world to us ... xxxxx

A candle has been lit here to light a little lady whippets way.

Joanna was something else. One of the whippets who always give their all, who train all sorts of dogs and teach pups that it's safe to run up that track and get to the bunny first are invaluable. I was there when she had her serious back injury and the fact that she lived for so long with such a good quality of life is testament of your care of her Hannah and also of her determination and zest for life. I'm sure that she will leave a huge hole in your life.

RIP little lady.

Sorry to read this Hannah. She was indeed a lovely dog and as you said was a great trialling dog on the track too.

RIP Joanna

Devastated is not the word for the loss of such a wonderfull little girl .... we all loved her very much and i for one have missed her every day that i have not seen her and will continue in that vein. She was always upto mischeif and enjoyed herself to full as well as looking at you like butter would not melt when she had done something wrong. Am very glad that Hannah let her go with such dignity THANKYOU very much for that.

God bless sweatheart and look forward too seeing your beautifull face again someday.

Lots of love DADDY.. XXXXXX
