ALTHO IM ONLY JOKING..WHAT IS IT YOU HAD TO DO..HONESTLY I DONT KNOW?

        J  HN

Apologies if I am being thick. What exam have you taken?
Whippetsrus

I have to take exams in order to become a whippet judge (shows):

1. entrance exam on anatomy and Canine Control Council (Queensland, Australia) rules. done and passed.

2. Whippet Breed exam (written) - basically a test on your knowlege of the standard. Done and passed.

3. Hands-on exam where I have to judge a number of whippets in front of some assessors and then justify my placings to them.

Congratulations Lana- what do you think that you got wrong?
GajoI know exactly what I got wrong. Forgot the most obvious thing! In the description of coat, I forgot the word .......... SHORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know who's organising the dogs for me Gary but if you get asked, I would be very grateful if you brought one along. ;)

Well done Lana! :huggles:

Best of :luck: with the hands on!

What a clever gir you are Lana  Well done

Did you have to remember it word for word then ? sounds an odd way to me , a bit like learning a poem at scholl I suppose :- "

. Take no notice of Stormeydog thats his `way ` , all in good fun and dont forget he is `male ` afterall  ( well I THINK he is )

all the best for the hands on :luck:

Well done Lana, you must be very pleased.

Roll on August. You should do OK. :)

I remember when I did mine. :( When they came into the ring the first thing I thought of was "they all look like crap". So it was just a matter of finding the ones that were not as crappy as others. Look for "my" type & soundness. In the end I had a line up that I was happy they were placed 1 to 5. But I still did not like them.

Mmm - I have thought about this - worried that people will only bring dogs that are not normally shown and not put their usual show dogs in. But I guess that you can only do what you can with what's in front of you. Actually as of this morning I decided I'm not going to stress about it - I'm just going to clear my head until a day or two before and then get out my standard again and go over it a number of times (in case they throw questions at me from the standard) and then just apply it as best I can to what is given me. I know what I like and I should be able to justify my choices, as long as I don't feel intimidated by the assessors and let the nerves get to me  if anything that's what'll bring me down

REALLY WELL DONE LANA!

I am sure you will have no problems with the hands on either, seems like you are a natural.

You go girl.
