ahh, hope poor little Zak gets over the shock and trauma quickly, and yourself, it's my nightmare to have hat happen, you're not safe to walk your dog these days

:luck: :huggles:

What an awful experience for you and Zak :( I hope he feels better soon and recovers quickly, sending him lots of :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

I always feel very nervous when i see staffys off the lead and often do a quick de-tour out of their way :b

sorry to hear about poor little zac.i know what you fee, like my 11 year old dog rch buffalo bill was also attacked by one(staffy) ealier this year he was in a right old state same as yours stitches bruising etc,he was also suffering shock and has since been very wary of dogs.hope your little dog is feeling better soon.the owner fo the dog also paid my vet bills but it dosnt make it any easier on poor zac.good luck with him joe lesley and kate.

I am so sorry Andrew to hear of this awful attack on poor Zac. I hope he gets better soon.

im not slagging staffies of ,just the owners that cant control them,im just concerned about poor zac,as i was about my own,he wouldnt move of his bed for days, because of his age,the vet said he was lucky the shock didnt kill him never mind the injuries.some breeds in the wrong hands are killing machines imo

Been thinking about this and how frightening and horrific it would be to be at the tale end of an attack not just from a staffy but any dog, other than hoping your whippet runs like the clappers and avoids it,what can you do if you haven`t got time to get yourself and the dog away, there should be some kind of dog stun gun you could take out and if you find yourself in the predicement stun the barsteward, immobilising it for a good few minutes. If it saved my dog from being ripped apart for no reason i wouldn`t hesitate, and if some plastic gangster owner had a problem with that i`d stun him too.

Sorry to hear about Zac mate, hope he makes a full recovery :luck:

Get well soon Zak :huggles: :huggles: :luck:

Quote! Since then, however nice a staffy looks and probably is, I just can't take the risk of going anywhere near them.

Bet Andrew thought the same and now will hoping things turn out ok as we all do for his little dog--

Karen is scared stiff if she see any whilst out with any of our dogs since Crystal-bay was attacked by two in Kirkcaldy and she was in pup at the time--

Yes quite right you like many others feel this way and this cant be right -----my opinion is that if they have to keep this type of dog they should be muzzled at all times whilst out of the owners house---and great big fines if caught otherwise ----also kept under control which should be on a lead ---- not later when damage is done the reply well its never done that before or it only wants to play--we have heard that many times dogs are all unpredictable whatever the breed---

Sorry to hear this bad news Andrew, i wish zak a speedy recovery.

I agree with steve these animals are unpredictable by nature under any hands and should be muzzled at all times when out of the house because there are too many attack incidents. The dog would soon get used to the muzzle but a owner with an attacked animal or worse will never get used to that.

Sorry to hear bout Zac Andy, hope he gets better soon. I agree with what chris and Steve say but also, if you look at all the topics of dogs being attacked on this section, they are all attacks by staffies!! Crystal bay, Chloe, Buffalo Bill and now just friends. I am not particularly trusting of any dog including my own as i know he can be unpredictable so he is kept under control, i think that animals that can cause as much damage as staffs and other powerful breds do should have to be muzzled, a simple precortion would save so much hastle and pain if it did attack.

buffalo bill was attacked by a mastiff still bull breed tho,and another thing these bull breeds were bred for one thing fighting so its in them to start with, but up and down the country most attacks are done by terriers wether it be a yorky biteing the postman or a staff ect.. biteing dogs.im not condoneing this attack but its just in the terriers breed and man bred them to do as he pleases with them like most breeds

im sorry to hear about zac i was worried when my dog got attaked by a big massive thing and he didnt move off his bed for days unless he wanted to go to the loo then he strugled to get up i was very sad and was trying to get him better sooner so i didnt have to see him in that state. hes better now so im glad.

i hope zac gets better soon andrew gd luck with him. :luck:

sick to death of hearing that it is down to the owners aggression is inherent in the breed my neice was attacked by one and is left with a scarred face for ever try telling her its the owners fault, a law should be passed that they are muzzled in public

How's Zak getting on Andrew, is he doing ok?

zak seems loads better in himself he has picked up in his self loads and his cuts and bruises are alot better i have started treatment on his shoulder

staffys make lovely pets but when they are crossed bred they can be a bad animal.but you've got to look at the oweners for the blame not the dumb animals when i say dumb they cant speak for them selves
