what do you think about a new board as a memorial for pets who cant be with us any more it could be used to mark death or to post on anniversaries of death

thought it would be a nice way to remember our old friends what do you think? :teehee:

on another forum i'm on, as well as several others, they have a rainbow bridge for our lost four paws. i think its a great idea.

Whilst I think its a lovely idea, I cant read these things, as I just cry & cry & cry :(

fab idea incase sum people for get GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

Lovely idea. I am all for it, an easier way of letting ones friends know about recent losses, because it is not always easy to talk about these things.

I would like to start with:

19.06.06. Bel (Bruntsfield Silver Darling) aged 15 and 2 months. Had to let her go to an easier place, she was finding life increasingly difficult with a bad heart and after several mini strokes. Bel, we all miss you.

good idea, sometimes it helps to share your grief, though i would be upset reading about them.

R.I.P Bel so sorry to hear of your loss :(

RIP Bel

What is Dying?

I am standing on the sea shore.

A ship at my side spreads her

white sails in the morning breeze

and starts for the blue ocean.

She is an object of beauty and I

stand and watch her until at last

she fades on the horizon.

Then someone at my side says

There, she has gone -

Gone where?

Gone from my sight - that is all

She is just as large in the mast,

hull and spars as she was

when she left my side....

The diminished size

and total loss of sight

is in me and not in her,

and just at the moment when

someone by my side says

"She is gone"

others take up the glad shout

"There she comes"

This is one of my favourite poems

Tomorrow

When tomorrow starts without me and I’m not there to see

If the sun should rise and find your eyes all fixed with tears for me

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today

While thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me as much as I love you

And each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too,

But when tomorrow starts without me please try to understand

That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand.

She said my place was ready in Heaven far above

And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly loved

But when I walked through Heaven’s gates I felt so much at home

When God looked down and smiled at me from his great golden throne

He said ‘this is Eternity and all I’ve promised you

Today for life on earth is past but here it starts anew’

‘I promise no tomorrow for today will always last

And since each day’s the same there’s no longing for the past’.

So when tomorrow starts without me don’t think we’re far apart

For every time you think of me I’m right here in your heart.
