Anyone else having this problem

Hi Joyce,

It seems to be alright for me at the moment. Sorry you are having problems, I tend to log out and then reboot my computer and go back in again. Take s awhile I know, but generally does the trick :thumbsup:

:sweating: Think the heat getting to pc's too - mine at work's been a nightmare today - slow when looking at k9 (in my lunch hour obviously :- " ) and all day long on everyhting else i had to do. ('Yes, i'm sure it was the pc that was slow and yes sometimes i am busy at work and yes can't wait for summer holidays 8) :lol: 3 days to go and counting

yes very slow 4 me too it used to be fine till k9 got hacked then it went really really slow then about 2 weeks ago it went back to being ok and i thought great, but it only lasted 2 days! and now its back to being really slow! and i cant use smileys coz it doesnt post them. nigel said its to do with AOL r u all AOL? every other site i go on is fine just k9 slow.

Mines slow too but I can post smilies too and guess what I'm on AOL too

I sped mine up by coming in through internet explorer that way its quicker

my mum says she can't get in at all it takes that long to load in and she's on AOL too

Yes, this is an AOL problem. Don't use their browser & use IE or Firefox so you don't go through their proxies & you should be ok - or just get another isp

yeah its almost put the kettle on whilst you wait for it to change windows...... always bin a bit tardy but even after a defrag and cookie cleanout system still very slow on K9 in particular.

Someone else mentioned a problem with Tiscali. As I've said before the response times from the server are not bad at all - there is no problem with the K9 server...

However, I did have an occasion earlier this week where the routing to the server was problematic which looked to me like a problem with some of the routes between the UK and US. That was with ZEN isp and I fixed that by restarting the broadband modem. This changed the routing and the Internet traffic got routed via different servers to the US and instantly there was then no problem.

I've just had this email from the host - proves the point I think but hopefully now fixed:

"Tonight from 11 PM ET (4AM GMT 7/21/06) to to 2 AM ET (7AM GMT 7/21/06), PCCW Global (also known as Beyond the Network or BTN) will be performing emergancy maintainence on their core routers in Ashburn, VA and London, England. to address recent routing issues experienced by many overseas customers."

well mine has started working ok again today but god knows 4 how long. its great 2 b able to get on k9 without getting totally frustrated and logging straight back out. hope it keeps up.
