Hi all

A friend of mine is thinking about names for her up and coming GSD litter and I thought I'd ask you clever lot for some help as you are really good at naming. :p Her affix is 10 letters, so the rest of it can only be 14 letters or less I think.

The bitch is called Tikki, which is a south african threepenny bit, so she thought names of coins might be nice such as Silver Dollar, Gold Sovereign, Silver Sixpence etc.

However, one of the prospective owners wants it to be Pegasus, so going along that theme, maybe other winged creatures/Gods such as Cupid, Eros, Mercury?

OR, as Tikki's KC name includes Tikki For Luck, maybe something along the Luck line, or even For........ something!

Any thoughts? She would be really grateful for some advice.

Anyone?

Conis, winged creatures or lucky names?

Tikki, which is a south african threepenny bit,
I think Aussies used to call a threepenny a Thrippence or a Thrippenny Bit (do they pronounce it like that in England too?) and we used to get them in our Christmas puddings when I was a kid.

Another Aussie expression - Not For Quids

Pennies from Heaven

Still thinking....

In Canada we have a Loonie coin (picture of the very beautiful Loon on the coin) which is roughly half a pound, and the Toonie coin (equal right now to a pound). In North American terms the Loonie is one dollar and the Toonie is two dollars. Both replaced paper currency.

So she could have a Loonie, Toonie, and a Loonie Toonie and still be within her requisite number. And she would have everyone wondering where on earth she came up with such creative names.
