Zair passed his silver award on Friday evening with flying colours, so very chuffed with him (he is 14 months old today). The examiner was Mike Vines who is a very well respected judge around the country, and he told me that Zair was a smashing lurcher and that I should show him as he has the stamp of a great lurcher and we would be able to compete against the big boys!! So apart from being chuffed with the silver award, I was just as chuffed to receive such fab comments!!

That's great news, well done Zair

Fantastic news - Silver at such a young age too, a great acheivement - any pics of the young man?!

Well done Emily and Zair

Will try and post some pics later this evening once I have managed to set up the card reader to the computer. I did get a bot snap happy this weekend and took loads of pics of my boys so plenty to show to you!

Well done and congrats to you both.

HUGE congratulations to you and Zair, Emily............................. this moment cant be passed without pictures though!!!!

Lets see the boy in all his glory

WELL DONE TO YOU AND ZAIR

IT MUST HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF TRAINING AND HE'S QUITE YOUNG, ARE YOU GOING FOR GOLD NEXT ?

Yes we are going for the gold in six months time (you have to leave at least 6 months between the awards apparently). I am working hard on getting the card reader working on my home PC and hoping to have some pics with you later this evening!

Well done to you and Zair

Good luck with the gold :luck:

I didn't know the KC had awards for lurchers

what are these silver and gold awards and what do you and your dogs do to win them?

Congratulations on getting the silver award

I am doing them with my Whippets, but I didnt have to wait 6 months inbetween, Daisy did bronze in June and silver in July, Morrissey did Bronze in July and silver in August, he will be atempting gold in December, Daisy isnt doing gold as our trainer has moved and is finishing up in December and she needs more work and there isnt enough time so shes on hold until I can find her another class.

Again well done

I repeat my question as I am still none the wiser on this issue

To the best of my knowledge Macha these awards are open to any breed or cross breed  try KC website for details on applications, hope that helps ;)

And well done to Emily and Zair
