Kendall is nearly 6 months old. On 2 seperate occasions - yesterday and today, after lying on the sofa when he gets off he holds up his left hind leg for a few steps, then goes slightly lame for another few steps before being totally sound again. Yestrady I figured he had stepped on something sharp but woried now as he has done it again today. I can't find any pain anywhere, have moved his leg fully and inspected his pads and nails and can't find anything, and has been 100% apart from on these occasions. Any ideas anyone?

Is it his back leg ? Milly's back right leg used to pop out of it's joint every now and then. She could'nt walk and just stood there looking at me, I wondered what had happend and lifted her leg up and it just went back in. It came also came at the vet's and the vet just put it back in and said it was'nt anything to worry about. Still get him checked out tho.

Cramp possibly? Bluebell used to get it, she now has sardines in tomato sauce and some tinned tomato's too, which seems to sort it

i was going to say the same, maybe the leg is still asleep lol

this is zoes new thing when she cant be bothered, "but mum m legs are still sleeping" :teehee:

Mine do this occasionally too - just long enough to make you jump up and investigate, then they look at you like you're daft. If you're certain there isn't an injury just observe for a couple of days and see how it goes. Even when Ros DOES have an injury (he's prone to nailbed injuries for some reason) he'll act the old soldier, sitting at the bottom of the stairs til muggins carries him up - but funny how within five minutes he's tearing around the garden, and can run quickly enough when I call him for dinner :D

Hi, got him checked today and he is squeaking when the outer most toe on that leg is squeezed, but vet says not broken, probably just a bit bruised from something. Will keep an eye on him to see how it goes. Thanks for all your replies. Got totally paranoid especially as his little legs are so skinnny!!
