Hello. Yes the dogs will love it although ours spent nearly all the time on leads. Not broken to sheep etc. We stayed at Elterwater in Langdale. Lots of walks straight from your front door. We go to the lakes nearly every year for the last 15 I guess and for as long as we have had whippets they have come with us. Very adept at picking their way over outcrops and uneven ground on the hills. Try these. www.wheelwrights.com for accommodation :thumbsup:

We did all our dating in the lakes and should go back for a proper break some time would be great to take the dogs theyd love it.

May have to do the lakes in the near future, my kids think of Center Parcs at Whinfell Forest as being the lakes but center Parcs, bless em - great for kids but mega expensive and cr*p for dogs. Yes they have 'dog friendly' lodges, all about 2 of them, no cheapish deals if you want to take a dog. Single mum now and all hols have to be dog friendly. Going to be camping we think!!

had a ride up to the Lakes yeatsrday with Paula as the little un was away with the cobs for the weekend.

started off at Penrith, then down into Keswick (those girls playing the violins are very good) had some dinner then down into Windermere.

although Kieren wasnt there to ask "can I have" hes still ended up with a bag full of goodies waiting for him when he gets home :wacko:

We went there to camp and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. I would love to go again
