if you read the whole artical and the comments a the bottom, they dont stay that size they can grow up to 14" it says which is what IG hight? and then add on the stockness and bulk of a pig, doesnt sound like the type of thing you caould easliy carry in a hand bag

this has been going around for a little while. they grow far bigger than most realise, are incredibly destructive, and as lovely as pigs are, i wouldnt want one (2 legged varieties being the exception) in the house. they deserve owners who understand them and can cater to their needs, rather than going, top whack paid of course, to owners wanting a cute status symbol as chihuahuas are sooooo last season darling

Exactly Lalena.....

what worries me is when they start to grow up, they will be discarded like an old shoe... seems its a fashion trend when Filmstars are getting them...

apparently Posh and Becks have one too... :-

so does whats his name from harry potter, rupert grint is it, that plays ron. not helped that theyre being advocated as great pets for kids with allergies, as 'pigs have hair, not fur, so nothing to react to', without mentioning the drawbacks they have. when things go wrong, it'll be the animals that suffer, and any kids around will learn from the parents that pets are disposable when they become inconvenient

that aside, posh has one? wouldnt have thought she'd allow bacon in the house, looking at her :clown:

itll be the same as pot bellied pigs, they were cute until they grew to lab size and were dumped enmasse at rescue centres along with terrapins, then there was the rush to get white owls after they were on harry potter and dalmations after the 101 films

hmmm at the prices they go for, be a very expensive sarnie

Oh Lalena...didnt mean those little piggies noooooo definitely nooooooooooooooooo :p :p

Oh Gawd, another fad for spoilt brats who think about what they want and not the needs of the animal they are buying.

I wonder how long before they start turning up in rescue centres because they are no longer teeny and cute and start rooting up the carpets :(

Aren't they gorgeous

My dad used to have a few breeding sows and often the runts

would be brought home to be hand reared. They are very clever

and soon learn, most of them thought they were dogs and used

to trot down the garden and do they jobs with the dogs and run

around happily with them.

Couldn't have one of those tint things with my girls they would

run off with it
