Yes it can. There are reports of dogs being affected after using them for months. Harri also recovered spontaneously as the pesticide was metabolised by him. Google the brand name of whatever it is you are using. If it’s Nexguard you’ll find plenty.

Her pups face swelled he was rubbing his face and back on the carpets yelping out and then very lethargic. ..she was using advocate ...now she doesnt use monthly spot ons just worming 3 x yearly ...
I personally do not think we need to use monthly treatment its alot of vets making money ...

I totally agree about too much flea treatment. Mine get done only when needed. You can do two things between treatments: one, get a flea-comb and use it to check for live fleas, flea dirt and eggs. If no result probably no fleas. The other is good fun. Set up a flea trap where the dog lies. You have to do this at night in a darkened room- put out a shallow dish on the floor, fix a candle in the centre - light candle and fill the dish with water. We put ours in the hearth and near the back door on tiles. Obviously close the room off and don't let people/children/pets in to upset candle. If you have a flea infestation you should see fleas drowning or dead in the water after a few hours! Please be careful and don't burn your house down- which also gets rid of fleas.

Took him to.the vet couldn't find anything wrong but just seems to be picking up by himself nearly back to same playful little man before what ever it was made him ill
