Dear Little Daisy Dot has gone in for her spaying operation today. It is the last possible 'safe date' before her next season  . :sweating: :sweating: :sweating:

She has put on 850g and now weights nearly 8kg. She is still quite underweight but very fit.

Her bowel condition is still a concern and as the bloods and other samples came back negaitive apart from low vit B12.

The vet wants to examine her with and endoscope and do a bowel biopsy. They suspect that she has a celicac / gluten intolerance but want to make sure that it is not anything sinister. She will also be having a scale and polish.

She has only been with us 8 weeks and I feel so bad leaving her at the vets, she is so trusting and gentle

It sounds so much for such a fragile wee girl and today is going to be hell untill she is back home with us. :(

Oh bless her, what a pretty girl she is

Sending her absolutely every good thought for today, and hope all her tests are positive and give a clear way forward to treat her bowel problems :luck:

Hope all goes well for Daisy, she looks a little sweetheart

:luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: daisy dot, xxxxxx

Good luck Daisy  :luck:

I've had to leave Jim at the vets this morning Eve so I know how you feel :huggles:

Bless her, I hope it all goes smoothly and provides some helpful answers for her future well-being. :luck: :luck: :luck: She is such a lovely girl. Thinking of you both :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

Good luck little daisy  :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

Sending hugs to gorgeous Daisy - she looks such a sweet little girl.  :huggles: :huggles: Hope all goes well today with her spay and tests. :luck: :luck:

:luck: Good luck to little Daisy :luck: It's awful having to leave them isn't it? I suppose far better to get everything done with only one anaesthetic though, although it sounds like a lot for little Daisy I'm sure she'd rather get it over and done with in one go. :huggles:

How did Daisy get on? I'm hoping it's all over and she's home being spoilt by now :luck:

Daisy is home

The vet was happy with all the proceedures and there were no complications.

She is sore, but not so sore that she could not manage a light snack and a touch of goats milk :D

She is to have a porridge made from her special diet for the next week and AB's to allow her bowel to heal.

It looks like I will be feeding her about 6 times a day for a few days. Just as well I am at home a lot :sweating:

She has presently slipped back under anesthetic a bit but this is not surprising given her lack of bodyweight.

It is just so lovely to have her home, safe and sound.

Hopefully, she can now get on with looking forward to a normal life, albeit with a special diet.

I am a practical person, but today has been tough as Daisy is that little bit special being so vulnerable and 'at risk'.

Thank you to everyone for your support, it has helped me get through today :huggles:

I'm so glad that Daisy is home and recovering, Eve :D

It is alot for a little whippet to cope with but I know she will be having the best recouperation she could possibly have all curled up warm and cosy with you
