They are just the most gorgeous looking little pups...and Jink looks so at home there with them...its just lovely to see.. :huggles: :flowers:

Well done to everyone and especially to you Sarah and your family for your brilliant work with those puppies.

thats fantastic news they look really well best of luck

there was a good response from the greyhound owners on the flappers dream & greyhound 4 me sites but think they would have been a little too far away one in Surrey and one in Essex

What brilliant news, I'm so pleased for you and the little ones. They all look gorgeous    You and Jinx are doing a great job, and I hope the pain of losing Lola is easing a little.

That's fantastic news  The little pups are looking gorgeous  The foster mum looks to be really settled with them :luck: :luck: :luck:

If we were to give awards to whippets for being that extra bit special Jinx would be top of the list, what a delightful picture it is of Jinx with the babies and what lovely people the whippet world has in it's fold.

:) thanks. the little ones are and have been very very strong from day one, Lola bless her heart made sure of that. Jinx is doing a great job and we are honoured to be taking care of her for the next few weeks.

I'm sure the pain of losing Lola will eventually ease a bit but it is still very raw, maybe sometime next week it will be easier when i stop thinking 'this time last week i was relaxing on the settee cuddling Lola and getting excited about her being a mum' etc

Brilliant that all areas of the sight hound community far and wide have been willing to help, restores a little faith in mankind.

Great news! :) - So very very pleased for you all!

I have just logged on and I'm so pleased to see the puppies have a foster Mum (made me feel all tearful). Jinx is gorgeous and they all look so beautiful together.    I hope the pups continue to thrive. :luck: :luck:

I was so pleased to see that they are getting lots of TLC from Jinx, what a star she is! The pups look as though they are thriving and you are doing a wonderful job. Please remember to take care of yourselves as well as them because it must be an exhausting job.

We are so very proud of Jinx

She is an exceptionally maternal bitch and has had 2 litters her last in August when she had a single beautiful puppy but she spent 4 weeks hoarding toys and looking for her other puppies. I think she felt a little short changed!!!

She started cleaning Lolas puppies as soon as she was introduced and after a couple of hours she had moved herself into the bed and they had all been weed and pooed :x

I stayed with her over night and she was very attentive even checking them all as we fed them at 3.30 this morning -_-

When I left she was asleep after a breakfast of pilchards (She is being very spoilt :wub)

And when I spoke to Sarah earlier she had warned off all the other dogs and will only let Sarah and bob within 5 yards of the pen (w00t)

We shall miss Jinx over the next couple of weeks as we cant go to see her for fear of upsetting her but she is doing a very important job for Lola and she will leave when they are weaned in a few weeks

Love to Sarah and Bob and all the crew and well done my darling girl

What a star

Jinx is an absolute star for looking after these precious little babies

Sarah and Bob, Chris and I (from the Northern), were so sorry to hear what happened, and have been thinking of you all, how lovely that Jinx has taken the puppies 'under her wing' and is looking after them so well, we hope and pray that they continue to grow and thrive! :)

She is Shona, of the brightest kind  I seem to recall you, me and Sarah all needing to reach for the tissues yesterday at that most wonderful moment when after you had introduced her to the puppies she decided to curl up in their bed with them, and again when Celt started to try and suckle her. Bittersweet moments for Sarah I know, but so moving nonetheless. All credit to you though as however natural a mum Jinx is your carefully managed introduction of her to the pups was very special too. I know you will miss her while she is away but how proud you must be my friend xxx

I keep having to come back and have another look at this thread and the photo of Jinx with the pups

"Jinx the Fairy Godmother" is a credit to her owner and testimony, along with others that have stepped in to help, that there are some very kind people about which no doubt will have helped Sarah and Bob in coping with their loss, as well as the physical demands of rearing the puppies. Without friends where would we all be in a crisis? I don't know any of you personally but it is just so heartwarming to read about this.
