No, it's not a guinea pig  he's 5 weeks old & the only survivor from a litter of 4 :(

They were born by caesarian & the mother rejected them all. The cats owners were not prepared or able to hand rear the kits so a foster mum took them on. sadly 3 have died but this little scrap is a fighter

His foster mum is on holiday so I'm in charge till Friday. He wasn't weaned yesterday but as I didn't relish getting up throughout the night, I was really ruthless yesterday & let him go hungry till he decided to eat. Now he can't shovel enough in at once & is the same colour as his food

The dogs are as usual, Hebe totally indifferent, Scrumpy slightly interested & Rafferty is all aquiver :clown:

Scrumpy has surprised me by how blase she's been as she will chase anything that moves & this is a very mobile squeaky furry thing. She has even helped out by doing the cleaning up at the smelly end :x

Scrumpy being helpfull, or maybe she was just having a taste to see if she is partial to kitten or not :- "

awwwwww, bless!   how cute is that! :D dont get too much of taste for kitty will you scrumpy! :sweating:

:clown: Say nothing, act casual, she'll put it back in a minute & then I'll strike :clown:

Awww! He is just so cute    - hope he will be OK.

your doing a top job there julie  good luck to the little kitten :luck: :luck: :luck:

What a little sweetie.

Many, many years ago my Mum rescued a little scrap of a kitten  abandoned in their garden and they called her Half-Pint. She grew into a huge black cat and lived to a ripe old age. :)

Aww, how sweet is that - and isn't Scrumpy a good boy

I love the picture of Rafferty planning his strategy. I suspect he is NOT a good boy - but very gorgeous

Awww well done to you and is foster mum :huggles: :huggles: what a little cutie

I hope Scrumpy doesn't get too partial to kitten he might get more than he bargains for, they can be fiesty little buggers can't they (w00t) 8)

How sweet, funny how animals sense the needs of little ones at times

Well, I'm just about to take the squirt back to his foster mums, she's not back till tomorrow but I'm going away early tomorrow so her mum is having him for tonight.

The foster mum has phoned twice since Monday to see how he's doing :b

I was a bit worried about him as he was very constipated :( but after todays enema :x everything has started moving again

Anyway, enough of that. He has had a bath & is all fluffy again, till the next wallow in his food in about 3 hours time.

Rafferty is in pretty much the same place he was 4 days ago, just biding his time in case I leave the cage door open. :clown:

He's not been here long but is a real little character, he hissed at me earlier when I was cleaning him up. I was soooo scared

I'll try to remember to take a pic of him when he's all grown up at 10 weeks & up for rehoming.
