Just recently had to have my lurcher put to sleep (greyhound/collie x) and I'm looking at now getting a whippet (or two if I can persuade the missus)
Our lurcher wasnt a problem with being left at home for 3 days a week while we were at work and he was great with the cats that we have and just ignored the chickens who roam around the garden.
We are not sure how a rescue would cope with cats/chickens so we are looking at getting a younger dog that we could train to not chase the chickens as the cats can take care of themselves.
So theres a few questions...
Are whippets easy enough to train?
Would getting 2 be better for when we are at work or are they like our lurcher used to be and spend most of the day asleep?
and the big one...
Are there any reputable breeders round the Wolverhampton area?
cheers for any advice
