Stormalong Blue Ballerina B

Sturzaker Santino of Catchascan D

Deskues Pretty Miss B

Palmik Surprise D

Deksues (not Deskues) Pretty Miss: Dondelayo Mosaic (b. 8 Apr 1973) x Zarcrest Zena.

Stornalong Blue Ballerina: Strormalong Black Archer (Poachyn Tee Off at Stormalong x Wyemere Black Silk of Stormalong) x Stormalong Silhouette of Laurelcote (b. 7 Dec 1985) (Ch. Oakbark Middleman x Wyemere Black Gem)

Sturzaker Santino of Catcherscan (correct spelling... born 27 Mar 1988): Gainscliffe Senator of Oakbark (b. 17 Dec 1979) x Firefox of Sturzaker (Ch. Oakbark Middleman x Black Streak Lady)

I can take everyone except Zarcest Zena back further.

I have Palkmi Sunrise, not Surprise. Same dog?

Hope this helps

Lanny

Hi back, I am quite sure Mike Howgate could tell you what Palmik dog it is and what its pedigree is -- be it Sunrise or Surprise.

The awful news is that whingers whose complaints could easily have been resolved if they did so in a positive fashion, have forced the creator of the Whippet Archives in to a position where she has taken down this positively invaluable resource.

I am stunned. We are all the poorer for the loss of that resource today.

Well, I am not thinking it was for some errors in the database. These could have easily been resolved. It seems in the past months there have been fierce complaints from some British breeders who did not want those dogs they gave away as pet dogs to be shown in The Whippet Archives. Must have been pretty nasty in parts. That's what German sources close to the creator of TWA say.

isn't that useful information? to know what you can expect from certain lines or certain sires?

Exactly. :) It is so important to look at the potential sire's relatives in order to evaluate him properly. TWA was a pedigree data base not a place to showcase the best; more pedigrees it contained more valuable it was. People from the USA and Europe seemed to get it, i was very impressed by the fact that many breeders posted all the dogs they ever bred, and their pedigrees did not have any substantial gaps for at least the first dozen of generations.

I thought it was rather telling when one UK breeder stated that out of their X number of whippets that somebody posted on TWA, only a very small fraction (1/9th) was good enough to stay there, and asked Karin to remove the rest.
