On monday my father and I took Milo & Riley for a walk down Langstrath Valley. We usually start at Rosthwaite but decided to cut a mile of two off because of riley and started from Stonethwaite, he still needed some carrying though! All in all it was a 6.5 mile walk so both dogs were tired and thoughly happy. The weather was lovely and sunny to start before clouding over and there was a strong wind. Thankfully they didn't have to spend too much time on the lead as the lambs were down the valley in the fields and the only ones out on the fells were few and far between shearlings.

I do like Cumbria  - those pictures are lovely and the dogs are looking well too

What a lovely walk for all concerned.

Is there a small campsite at the beginning of the walk? Pretty sure we camped there and walked along that valley a few years back. Nice pub there too. Is there a big hole in the river called Blackmoss Pot...ahh it's all coming back to me now.

Hasn't Riley grown?
