Decided im fed up bringing back coats from walks so designed a coat which goes inside its own collar.

Minty says at last a waterproof thats lightweight but can go over a fleece if its cold.

Hee hee - just a bit of fiddling and tweaking - minty as per usual a brilliant dummy all day!

Wow! That looks really clever

Are you going to make them for sale, Abbie, and if so, can you do them in other colours too?

yes - i can make up in any of a selection of colours - pink, purple, blue, navy, black, green, camoflage and hi viz

ive put up an ad on my market place thread

:)

That is a really clever idea.

Patent it quick

What a fab idea (w00t)

How much are you selling them for??

Its a little bit more than i would want to pay for a lightweight rain coat, i think £10 plus P&P is the most i would pay, because i could get a fleece rain coat for £14

Just my opinion, great idea though

Perhaps you should go on Dragons den with the idea (w00t)

Really inventive, well done you

TCx

sorry you think its more than youd pay but then its not just a coat is it and is made to measure and is not just a churned out product you can pick up from a shelf.

thanks for your criticisms and encouragments

Abbie they are great, a great idea  so good that you can do a range of colours

PS LOVE YOUR MODELS

hi kim i think ,its well worth what abbie is asking for them to be honest as i dont think people realise how much time and effort us sewers put into making our stuff theres the fabric cottons excet and elec and velcro ,which by the way costs a bloody fortune and then wer lucky if we make £2/£3,and hour for making it ,would you get out of bed and go to work for £2/£3 and hour i dont think so , :D so all in all unless your mass produceing it and getting fabric in ridiculas amounts to minimise the costs ,we dont actually make much at all :D

I know you can never get back the amount you put in, in time, i do understand that.

I also sew i made racing jackets which took ages to make but you couldnt sell for much.

I wasnt having a go just giving an opinion

Why pm, i thought she was looking for opinions on the Mac Collar, i think its a fab idea, just a tad more than i would want to pay...

How easy is it to fold back into the collar part? I know I struggle when folding hoods back on to coats etc, as they always end up really bulky and lumpy looking. Does the same happen with this?
