If potential owners lived outside of the Bristol area for a homecheck, would a homecheck confirmation from another rescue organisation do?.This may increase his chances of a home a bit quicker.

I understand the concern the sanctuary have in trying to get the best proper home for him and want to make sure they have done the right thing for him.

Just a few thoughts...........

Hi - Yes he is still available, I will ask the sanctuary re: home check and they would prefer to keep it in house as their policies may differ from another (I know, I know.. and I agree with you guys...)

I was hoping he would have been snapped up by now... cant believe this little guy is still without a forever home (I did repeat my offer of fostering but he seems to be doing ok for now...)

Can't believe he is still there! :(

Do you know his height ? :luck:

Just a quick update for you all...

Someone has been in and reserved this little guy and passed the home check and so he will be going to his new forever home VERY soon...

It is a K9er so I will let them tell you all about it.... :- "

I've resisted for three weeks, but every time I got in the car it automatically drove itself to the sanctuary :- " and so I gave up fighting and arranged to adopt him.

Here he is at the weekend in the grooming room of the sanctuary

We've been for a bit of a walk, all three whippets seem fine together...

and now he's settling down for a snooze...

He's used to being on his own for long periods and hasn't had much walking, so he might be a bit overwhelmed with us so we're going to take things very gently :huggles:

... and can I just say that I'm open to offers for my original 1972 orange kitchen floor tiles :- " They're what sold the house to me last year  They sealed the deal! Just don't walk in with a hangover when the sun's shining...

My new little whippet boy is called Taz, but we're undecided about whether to keep that name. He doesn't seem overly responsive and we're thinking of changing it - new life, new start, new name. What do people think of Skipper? It's just an idea at the moment  Skip and Skippy have such a happy sound to them.

He's got a few baldy patches too so we're going to add some seaweed kelp to his food. He's already used to raw tripe, so we should soon see some meat on his poor little bones.
