i'd really like to say a huge huge thankyou to Olivia for painting a wonderfull head study of Minnie (Ch Angelina Ballerina at Hantreved) my friends Miniature Pinscher, who tragically died at the begining of this month.
I'd known Minnie since she was a wee puppy, her and Oto used to play together as young'uns, they adored each other and she'd always be able to spot him from the other side of the show ground, jumping up and and down, sqeaking with joy and going crazy when she spotted him.
Minnie was little 13 year old Hannahs first dog and they had grown up together in the ring, Hannah always handled her and earlier this year at Blackpool Minnie was made up to a champion, it was tears and applause allround when she did, just about everyone was rooting for little Han and her Minnie.
Minnie retired from the ring for maternal duties shortly afterwards, she really bloomed during pregnancy, happy and bouncy and enjoying the extra attention, everything was ready and everybody was excited at the prospect of mini minnie's, then tragically and without warning, Minnie collapsed 5 days before her due date, she was rushed to the vets but was lost before they got there, the vet really tried to get her back but just couldn't. they tried to then save the wee ones but they were just that bit too young.
the huge shock and devastation was felt by everyone but most of all by the little girl who lost her beloved freind just one week before her 13th birthday
Olivia has been fantastic painting this for me so quickly, i know that she has had to get other paintings done as well so she must have really worked her socks off to produce such a beautiful lasting tribute to this little dog.
thankyou so much Olivia :huggles:
