We maid the decision that today was the right time to let Milo go hes had hart problems and been getting slowly weaker since we lost Boris in November but since Friday hes gone down hill rapidly struggling to stand and the slightest thing he was huffing and puffing and this morning could hardly stand at all. Thankfully the vet said he was in no pain just old and weak and we choice the right time.
I was not brave and didn't go with him and Tony but tony says even after he had gone he still had that big smile on his face he had since the first day i saw him and fell in love 11 years ago.
Everyone who met Milo new what a very very special lad he was not just the best looking greyhound ever but his nature his kind hart was bigger than he was and he was such a gentle giant. he raised loads of money for other sight hounds did home checks meat and greets sponsored walks everyone used to fight to walk Milo. but his one main gift that meant we could foisted all most any other sight hound was his kind nature he would not react no matter how a new dog played up he was gentle and calm and would soon settle any wafe and stray that we took in and withing days the most timmed or stroppy dog was standing in front of Milo for him to wash there ears as he did all the dog.
Through all the crap thrown at us in the past 11 years there was always on guarantee that Milo would be there on his bed in front of the fire ( That was never on just a light but he never worked it out lol) with his big grin on his face and when you were down he would be over and stick his head on your knee. There will never be another Milo he was a star and my best friend
