Sounds dreadful. Celebrities have smal dogs like Yorkies and Chihuahuas and carry them around in designer hand bags, they are bred in appalling conditions in Puppy Mills in the states, a fashion thing that will eventually go the way of all fashion, out, then where will these little things end up?

Yes I know it sound terrible. I've even seen a shoulder bag to carry an iguana around with you. Does anyone know anything about these mini IGs or have any photos. Would love to see one next to a regular IG.

Couldn't agree more - they are just pitiful little mites bred by hideous creatures who like to create a new selling point - the word 'mini' is used as a marketing tool to increase the price

This has been on here a day now, can anyone tell me if they exist as a breed or not and if they are has anyone got one. I would have thought someone on here could answer this question. Thanks.

Never heard of them but if it is in America Im sure that some mindless moron will try to breed them here as well.

After all normal Blue Italian Greyhounds are being flogged as rare.

it has to be america, my cousin who stays their was telling me about a friends dog which was under 5lb and could fit in your hand. and it was some weird cross. she was saying she wanted one, because they are so easy to look after, too small to walk anywear so they spend all day in the house with puppy pads.

i was cringing at the though. :(

Yes I quite agree. We've seen a few blues when viewing IG litters. They're not rare at all. Its the breed as a whole thats in short supply. I would love a parti to join our family next.

so would i but please dont tell dave or he will go back to hiding in his shed

I am sorry but I cannot agree that the breed is in short supply. In fact there has never been more puppies to buy than there is now. They are available to anyone who has the pound notes in their pocket. Anyone who says they cant get one obviously doesnt know what god awful web sites to look on.

Sorry have to disagree. Just searched all the god awful websites and not one puppy for sale !!! Can you find an advert for me to look at. Thanks.

Just had to delete one post which broke rules. Could we all make sure we stick to the board rules, and not let this topic descend into a slanging match

It might be better to "discuss" where puppies are advertised by PM, since it is against rules to advertise on K9, and by pointing out advertisements - that is in fact advertising

Ok, I will reword it then :- "

Just found two IG puppies for sale for 2750 on a site that I would consider to be god awful :(

Liz and the Monellis

I have found two litters so I stick by my original statement. When I make a statement it isnt just to get a reaction. A few weeks ago there was at least 6 litters being advertised, 4 of which were on one website and I knew of another 5 litters that had been born and were not advertised. I also know of other litters being planned. So I rest my case, if you have the money you will be able to buy an Italian

Sorry June posted before I read your post and have edited out the site name

Sorry I must appologize I can't find them myself. There must be more of these websites than I know of. I don't tend to look at them as I've got all the dogs I want at the moment. Although a nice parti IG would complete our family.

There are plenty of places to find iggie pups, people just need to know where to look, or be in the right place at the right time - and with the right amount of money ;)

I'm hoping this post stays o:)
