A wet day and we decided to don the waterproofs and go for a little walk.

This is Glengorm Castle, our cottage was on its estate.

A Victorian bathing pool - we didn't need to go in to get wet!!!

On the Mull Railway - Muffin really hated it and would have jumped out if Richard hadn't had a good hold on him! (w00t)

Of course, Jonah loved it!

It was quite sunny the next day and we decided to take a walk to a lighthouse near Tobermory. It might have been sunny overhed but the ground was really, really muddy! (w00t) Jonah up to his ankles

At one point we had to cross over a really muddy part on these crates that someone had put down

More to come ...

It looks gorgeous regardless of the weather! :) I love the photos on the train, one saying 'Dad! Let me off!!!' and the other going 'This is COOL!' LOL :D

The take away van just in front of the blue car is a fish and chip van and has a Les Routiers recommendation. (w00t) Fish and chips were very nice! :D

Forgot to post this photo from our very first day in Tobermory when this otter just appeared! Just my luck to only have the compact on me because it was a bit wet so the photo's not particularly good :(

Off to Salen the next day. Was quite a pleasant day except that we got caught in a massive hail shower and were soaked through! Spotted a load of posts in the water with cormorants on top. :)

Then we found a really nice forest walk- Muffin and Jonah had a pleasant chat along the way 8)

The path led to an old graveyard and it was a fantastic place for the dogs to run around in

great pics, looks like your enjoying yourselves. :D

Those are fantastic photos and brought back lots of memories. Did you have any problem with the wee scot midgey?

What a nice set of photos. I would love to take our whippets on holiday with us but for now just the children are plenty to contend with.

Connie sends Jonah a big kiss and when the children get up I will show them the photos of Tobermory and see if they recognise it - I expect my 5 year old will!

Ive really enjoyed these pix Gillian. Before Xmas id love to go across there. Would you mind pming me some of your travel routes and ferry advice ?

My husband was amused by that comment all evening - it sums them up so well!

We weren't really bothered by them until the last day - it was quite windy most of the time and rather wet. But we went over to Iona again on the last morning and they were dreadful :luck:  We ended up coming back at lunchtime. They managed to find the one spot - the back of my neck - where I'd forgotten to put Jungle Juice on. Nasty little things!
