I am contemplating a puppy, a bitch is due within a week. I have a ten month silly puppy and a 11 week clever puppy but its still a bit crazy here, so do other people manage or should I think again. I know Trish has just done it with finlay and kip so what do you all think?

i think 2 is better than 1, we have 2   both 11 weeks old, they play together all the time, :sweating: they are great pals and company for each other, :huggles:

I disagree I think one is always best to ensure they have lots of time interacting you otherwise they tend to interact more with each other and ignore you!!

So if you do have 2 ensure they have lots of time separately with you for training and to gain their own confidence rather than depend on their sibling .

Good luck whatever you do!

i agree in parts what your saying

my 2 are not sisters and are very different, both do enjoy one on one play time with us.

and are happy to be without the other, i think it depends on your set up, i have found it easier with 2 than i think i would have done with just 1.

hi debbie,i think its down to what you can cope with and how your others would cope, like me im home all the time so glad there around as they keep me company , think plenty of stimulation and also a good routine helps big style.

kiplin was a fantastic pup and as a excellent temperament as does the girls as you know,so we had no problems getting another, now finleys here i think to introduce another wouldnt be as easy , finley requires a lot of stimulation throughout the day as hes a little livewire

Having 3 so close together also means they will get to be old together :(

, Now I know all whippets dont live to the same age but I think if you spread them out and have a couple of years or so in between they not only keep each other young but you are not left with only old dogs ( unless you are as lucky as I am and can have more than 3 or 4 .

Mine are 15 .11 10 7 . 5 . 4, 3 just ,and 2 at 2 (Tomorrow )

Good luck what ever you decide :huggles:
