I agree with what has been said already Keith , and really feel for you and dear Jill :huggles:

But on an up side seeing her so happy tearing about catching rabbits her and your whole life style would have had to change for a while and Jill may not have liked the restrictions motherhood brings :- "

Have you thought about getting her a whippet campanion ? so she has an apprentice to teach ;)

...ive had this gut feeling for ages the mating wouldnt take place...
I think you're right to go with your instincts on such an important decision. Very best wishes to you and Jill :huggles:

aww Keith, feel so sorry for you, I could see how much you want one of Jill's pups. I think you've made the right decision for your girl and that's who should come first.

You've not been selfish and I think you'd have worried more over her pups and how they were doing, only the ones who may not have gone to K9'ers.

Seems when we were wanting a whippet puppy there were hardly any to be had, but it was only 'til we got into k9 that we made connections.

What a shame the puppy farmers don't think like you.

We decided not to let Ella have any pups for all the same reasons, I think we'd have wanted to keep them all, it must be like giving away your own kids :(

Give Jill even more love , and maybe get her a little friend when you're ready from another litter.
