Anyway, Alice has finished her season now, and is coming to terms with remaining childless.... actually I think she'd rather play with her stuffed snowman anyway!!

Beautiful. forgive my ignorance (am new to Iggies), what colour is Isabella? please Julie Ps. How do you get them to stand so quietly and beautifully for photos (or the show ring). My gril is either unconscious = asleep, or moving faster the Superman and more agitated than someone on speed! Would love some hints ....

From Pet Library Glossary of Dog Terms http://www.bestfriendspetcare.com/dog_glos...dog-terms-I.cfm

"Isabella: Usually used to describe Doberman Pinschers, this color is similar to fawn or light bay, but has more saturation and brilliance (similar to a bay-colored horse). Color definitions may vary by breed. Always check the breed standard for the definitive color description."

From Standard Accepted Coat Color Genetics in Dogs with an Explanation of the alleles present in the Great Dane & Commentary on the Multiple Difficulties encountered when attempting to breed HARLEQUINS http://www.chromadane.com/standardcoat.htm

"bbdd-The Drapp-colored dane: This odd color, called "Isabella" or Doberman "fawn" (i.e. Wiemaraner coat color-a mouse color), perhaps more properly referred to as dilute chocolate, blue-liver or double dilute, may account for the odd color referred to as "Drapp" in early discussions of the dane."

In IGs I've heard it to be used of brownish-reddish-darkish colors :) .

Thank you, re colour. Is there anything that can be done to enhance the colour. Happens with horses a lot - certains feeds seems to bring out certain strenths within the colour. Julie
