Well, my beautiful black lurcher, Poacher, has introduced me to the wonderful sport of lurcher racing, hurdling and coursing and because of her success and enjoyment I have decided to bring on a pup for the future.

I watched for many weeks and finally a litter was born which, in my opinion, had the credentials to compete and enjoy a bit of work too.

I booked my pup, a pretty brindle girl, when she was only a couple of weeks old and went to collect her last Friday.

Whilst I was there I took a look at the rest of the litter and Martin, the breeder, told me about the smallest black dog who had become withdrawn and wasn't eating properly. The others were taking all the food and, despite Martin feeding him seperately, he was losing the fight to survive :(

Needless to say, I wasn't about to leave him behind and so I came home with TWO new puppies (w00t)

They have now been with the Jinnyfizz gang for four days and have both doubled their weight already and are having a great time!! Tiny Tim (the black dog) is doing really well now and Caitlin is being given a run for her money as can be seen in the pictures below

So here they are .......... the new Jinnyfizz Lurcher Competition Team  :D

They are gorgeous Jane, good luck with the little devils in their puppy hood won't be long before they are grown up, (time goes so fast at that age) just enjoy them. ;) Di

Absolutely gorgeous and looking so well. You've done exactly what we did -this time last year we went to see the litter at five weeks and booked one dog. We went to visit a couple of times a week and by the end of their sixth week had booked - you guessed it - the quiet little black one that really needed to go with a sibling to have the best chance!! It was the best decision I ever made. Our black fella, Roscoe, is the most stable, confident, friendly, laid back and loyal dog I've had. He's so easy to have and an absolute star. Am sure Tim will be the same for you!

Good grief. I don't usually browse the lurcher threads, but I'm glad I did, or I would have missed this. Good luck with your new additions :luck:

They are looking good Jane and i,m sure they will be crackers    ,look forward in seeing as they progress hun :D :D

There looking lovely jane, will be nice watching them grow :)

loads of kisses for Tiny Tim  they are beautiful. sorry for being a bit daft - what cross are they?

Timmy says thank you :)

Their mum is whippet x greyhound and dad is bull/collie/greyhound x saluki/greyhound

So I think the recipe for the pups is

1/16th bull

1/16th collie

1/8th saluki

1/4 whippet

1/2 greyhound

:D
